"It was excellent. Marc was super friendly and responsive. He came out and gave me the best quote in town. Wasn't pushy like many other window installers where they say "You have to sign our contract now!" Not this place at all. Very straight forward and honest. Gave me the best price and all the options. Worked with me on getting the right finance options. Window installers were prompt and professional. Windows look great. Finally I can be cozy in my home with my brand new windows!"

"Nelson Aluminium Products first came out to measure my windows for screen replacement. They came out just a few days later with perfectly measured screens. For the living room, we opted for the BetterVue screens, and they are worth the additional cost. Can't even tell there are screens in the window, except if you are right next to the windows. Highly recommended."

"Scott did a great job tinting our windows! He did our 2 storey living room andi dining room windows as well as the upper and lower windows in the master bedroom and foyer. Scott was in and out in a day and was able to schedule the work soon after quoting us a price. We could see the benefits immediately in the reduction of glare and heat coming through the windows. The price was great. I would highly recommend Scott if you need window tinting."

"We had 9 very old church windows that needed to be repaired. Matt come out and evaluated the windows and what needed to be done. He gave us an estimate, we had to wait a couple of months before we could start the work. He came out, once the work was scheduled, finished the job in a couple of days. The work quality was good, and we were happy with the finished product."

Windows questions, answered by experts

Removing a window isn’t a very long process. Depending on several factors, it can take anywhere from 20 minutes to upwards of an hour. The size of the window greatly impacts the time it takes to replace it. Accessibility is another big component. If it’s hard to reach the window or reaching it is dangerous, anticipate it taking longer.

Lastly, if the old window is in poor condition, it could take longer to remove it safely—especially if the frame has wood rot and is structurally unsound.

Yes, professional window cleaners will clean the surface of the glass on both the inside and the outside. They will usually clean the tracks for your windows, check and clean the weatherstripping, and even disassemble parts of your window, if necessary, to clean and lubricate interior components and moving parts.

Awning windows can have screens, but it depends on your manufacturer. If your awning window does have a screen, it will be on the interior side so it doesn’t get in the way when you crank the window open. Having the screen on the inner part of the window also makes it easier to clean from inside your home.

Arched windows used to be most prevalent in more traditional home styles, like Spanish colonial and Gothic, but they are becoming increasingly popular in modern design. You’ll often find arched windows in new home builds across many styles, including farmhouse and contemporary architecture. This represents a more general trend toward more unique houses with interesting features.

The biggest disadvantages of low-E windows have to do with cost and, depending on your personal taste, appearance. Low-E windows cost more than traditional windows—typically between $300 and $1,000 per window, plus installation costs. Though they can save you money in the long run, low-E windows have a hefty upfront price tag. Additionally, low-E windows have a slightly different look than traditional windows. While some people don’t notice it, others say the low-E coating gives windows a hazy look.
