"TLC Lighting Pros installed a chandelier in my foyer. They arrived promptly, were extremely courteous and hung the fixture to my desired height. I was very impressed with the crew, cost and completed job. I will definitely contact them for future lighting needs. Also, the cost was much more reasonable than other companies I had contacted for the same job. Highly recommend!"

"Prompt service. Cleaned up after themselves. Work was done quickly. Very pleased with the outcome. Liked the job they did so much with installing recessed lights on our vaulted ceilings (and we knew we would have to pay a little extra due to the height of the ceilings) that we had them come back to install four more lights in our bedroom and this was well done also. Only one small issue which was easily resolved. I had pre-paid for the service via Angie's List, but when they came out they said they didn't accept pre-payments and had me pay again. However, when they checked at the office they did find out that I had already pre-paid and were prepared to promptly refund the money. However, we decided to use it towards another set of 4 recessed lights because we were so pleased with their work!"

"The technicians from McLanna did a very good job with hanging our Chandelier. We requested them to take a look at our ceiling fan light which was not working and they very graciously stepped up and took care of that too. We are very pleased with their service."

Since 2001 we have been servicing families around metro Atlanta, North Georgia, and throughout the southeast US. Landry Luxury Electronics strives to make sure families enjoy their TV, streaming movies and music, and strong computer Wi-Fi signal through their homes.

Once the cabinet and shelves were installed, we came back and used a laser leveling tool to make sure the TV was installed perfectly.
The articulating arm allows the TV to be rotated toward the swimming pool.
Client had built-in cabinets installed in their remodeled living room and we installed the Samsung FrameTV and Sonos Arc.
The Klipsch speakers have cerametallic woofers that sound amazing.
We ran conduit around the swimming pool and installed three pairs of Sonnance outdoor speakers and an underground subwoofer.

"This was the second time I used Noor Electric.
Arrived on time and conducted all scheduled work.
Unfortunately, the switch that controlled the lights needed to be re-assigned.
I made a phone call to the office and they promptly rescheduled and corrected the issue.
I have recommended to friends and will continue to use them.

"The service technician arrived on time after he had previously called about an hour earlier which I appreciated very much. Upon arrival, he asked me which items I wanted him to address and in the order I wanted him to work on them in case he ran out of time as this was a special 2 hour electrical deal purchased through Angie's List. Both of the two primary requests were completed well within the time limit so I asked him to perform a third service to install the old ceiling fan light on another ceiling fan. Although after thoroughly trying, he determined they were not compatible. The service tech did a very good job and I would definitely consider this company for future electrical needs."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

The cost to repair outdoor lighting typically ranges from $100 to $400. The final price depends on the severity of the damage, the specific issue, the type of lighting system, and the parts needed. Some repairs are priced per fixture, averaging $100 to $300, and there may be additional fees if the lighting is difficult to access.

It’s fair to be concerned about handling pool lights or wiring in a pool filled with water. But fortunately, pool lights and swimming pools are designed to make it easy and safe to replace the lights without needing to drain the water. Instead, you can turn off the electricity to the pool as a safety precaution, unscrew the pool fixture, pull it up and out to the side of the pool, then change the bulb.

The five common types of landscape lighting are up-lighting, down-lighting, spotlights, built-in lighting, and pathway lighting.

  • Up-lighting casts light upwards from the ground, mostly for aesthetic purposes.

  • Down-lighting directs light onto the ground, lighting pathways, or outdoor space.

  • Spotlights cast direct, focused lighting in any direction.

  • Built-in lighting integrates lighting into an outdoor feature.

  • Pathway lighting illuminates walkways, increasing safety.

You can take a few steps to prolong the life of your holiday lights. Make sure to replace burnt-out bulbs as quickly as possible to avoid overloading the rest of the circuit and knocking out more lights. Before packing them up each year, plug each strand into the wall to confirm everything is still working. Wrap the lights carefully back into their original packaging or something similar—winding a strand tightly together or leaving it to hang loose in a storage bin can lead to frayed or damaged wiring.

Yes! As a matter of fact, there are many sensors that add motion to existing outdoor lights. These motion sensors attach to pre-existing flood lights and other outdoor lights without any fussy and potentially dangerous electrical work. Additionally, some flood lights and related fixtures ship with motion sensors built-in.
