"I found the owner of the business and his helper were both very professional.  They arrived as promised and performed the job quickly.   They quickly found the septic tank after I pointed out the general area for the tank.  I talked at lenght with the owner of the business about the local laws governing septic tank usage and found that the owner was up-to-date on the local laws and current changes that are taking place.  I plan to call again to have this same company service my septic tank in the future.

"The job was done fairly well in total. He was unable to completer the job according to the plans due to a major measuring gaff which required him to take part of my existing master bedroom and ended up with an unven hallway connection to main house that was approx. 10 inches off. He also does not know how to plaster, just uses drywall. He did not finish the joint between walls and floor. His roofing subcontractor did an excellent job as did the plumbing, electric and tree tree mitigation (arborist). Lastly he did not acquire a porta potty or his subcontractors, crew or his use. Never contacted me after he left job or sent a final message."

"Fantastic!  I would recommend Elite Home Services. He arrived when he said he would, maintained a professional demeanor throughout the job, priced his services fairly and did a great job. Because he did such a great job giving one of my bathrooms a facelift, I am calling him back to remodel my other bathroom."

"Very professional. Jeromy wore a mask. He was polite and cleaned up the area after the install. I have a Choice Home Warranty and called them for the plumbing repairs. All i had to pay was a contractor service fee. In the future if i need a plumber i will ask for the Company OSP Plumbing in the Henderson/ Las Vegas Nevada area and ask for Jeromy."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

No. You should never directly drain a water softener into a sewer cleanout. This practice is illegal in many areas because it could allow raw sewage to get into your drinking water and make you seriously ill. Many places have codes requiring a specific seal, pipe, and a large air gap between a water softener and a sewage cleanout. Check out Florida's Plumbing Building Code as an example of what these restrictions might look like.

There are a few reasons your diverter valve may not be fully diverting. Blockages from mineral buildup are common, but if your diverter is older, it may be suffering from normal wear and tear. Components can wear down or crack. In some cases, the cartridge may be defective, and you’ll need to replace it.

Applying drain cleaner is a common DIY solution to clogged drains, but it can be extremely harmful to your pipes and lead to corrosion and leaks. It is almost always better to try snaking a clog than using a drain cleaner, but the best solution is to hire a professional plumber. They can locate the clog and gauge the severity using a camera system and then decide if using a plumber’s snake, auger, or drain cleaner is the best option to remove the clog and limit damage to your plumbing system.

Yes, you can usually replace a sink without replacing the vanity. It really depends on the type of vanity and the type of sink. You’ll need to make sure you purchase a sink that will fit in the existing space. This requires precise measurements. You’ll also have to carefully remove your old sink, making sure you don’t damage the countertop during the replacement.

There are several types of sink drain stoppers, including pull-out, twist-and-pull, and pop-up. Pull-out sink stoppers can be removed by pulling on the stopper until it comes out of the drain. A twist-and-pull design requires lifting then turning the stopper to lock it in an open position and the opposite action (turning, then pressing down) to close it. A pop-up sink stopper works by pushing down the drain cover to open or close the passageway.
