Mr. Coleman sent pictures to USAA our insurer. He suprised us but indicated that he and Mr. Bailey could be the general contractors. so everything not paint and floors but destruction and reconstruction of everything under the floors, new baths, new oak floors, electrical and paint he had us pay him into an escrow while he paid is own materials and labor as well as used his own electrical, plumbing, cabinets. Distant families crises out of state had us relying on his phone calls. His original estimate to the Insurance was about 60,000. When he got to that he requested more. We requested his paperwork. Mr. Bailey performed his part and presented bills of approximtely 60,000. Mr. Coleman partially paid the subcontractors and they stopped when he stopped. We had to pay several to get the work done. Mr. Coleman kept over 40,000 for which he only showed materials and painting of about 10,000. He never could explain what happened to the 30,000. He was not a contractor and was part of forging our signatures to the city and unknown to us got a contractor to let them use his permits. We never knew the man. We never signed for him. Mr. Coleman was offered an opportunity to returnt the missing 40,000 and we'd would move on. Her hasn't. We've had to spend another 5,000 fixing his paint job. The floors are loose. He is the most dishonest scheming person i've ever met in 30 years in Thomasville and construction of two new homes and the redo of this. When we spoke about this at the paint store and with Mr. Bailey they said he has run similar scams or flim flams but that is their statements. Hearsay. We have copious documentation of our money's to him, texts as well as an electrical firm and Mr. Bailey who he shorted. By their hearsay.
Description of Work: An unknown leak under house had heavy mold, a wood collapse 1/2 of house. We had noted some oak flooring 'soft' and odd bulging of panelling in den. Mr. James Coleman of Coleman Services Coolidge, GA 31738 was recommended as an oak flooring repair person and general painting contractor. He brought Mr. Tony Bailey as his foundation and subfloor repair contact. The damage was so extensive everything below the walls had to be removed flooring (oak, tile, linoleum), subfloor, joists, ducting. Black mold. We would be out of the home for 6 months.
