Decks are their specialty and the quality is in every detail, but the show stopper is the sunroom conversion. While working through the supply chain issues of the Summer, Frank and his team of professionals built a space for my family to grow and enjoy for many years to come. When we do sell, the sunroom will sell this house -- floor to ceiling windows on one side, fireplace with built-in desks, saved the tile floors to keep costs down, 15-foot accordion style door that opens onto a beautifully crafted deck.   My wife and I wanted to get some badly needed work done on our house that we've been putting off for a while. That included trim replacement in the form of of fascia and window trim. We also needed a ton of work on our back porch to get rid of wood rot that was in large part due to the roofing on our back porch. Also, the gutters needed cleaning out, sealing, and we needed gutter guards added to them. And last but not least, we had the house repainted externally. Jamie and his crew were fantastic. He was very easy to work with and talk to about the work that needed to be done from the start. I had a lot of ideas myself, and he was able to steer me in the right direction with what needed to be done. That might sound unimportant, but I could have spent a lot more money doing things that really didn't need to be done in his estimation. His reasoning was sound, and I appreciated that. That spoke integrity to me from the start. A big winner in my mind. So, I would recommend Jamie and his crew 100% on that alone. When I got the estimate, I was pleasantly surprised at the bottom line. I believe his cost to be very reasonable, which again speaks volumes to me about that man I'm dealing with. They had a lot of work scheduled ahead of us. Jamie was up front and in communication with me every step of the way, and he kept me in the loop on what was happening from the beginning. Even with the rain that we had in October which was supposed to push things back (as it does with an outside job), he ended up squeezing us in at least a week ahead of time. The work was just as consistent and excellent as everything else that we experienced. He used quality materials (which he suggested during our walk around). They were here at 9am and worked until 6pm or later everyday. The crew was friendly, respectful, and worked hard. No loafing here. Jamie was here everyday - sometimes more than once per day - and went over things as they were done to insure the quality of the work. He took care of a few things that came up along the way too either by discovery or by request. They didn't even break stride. He even took care of some drywall work we needed that was added at the last minute due to a squirrel invading our MB wall (which we had to cut open). It looks like nothing ever happened. Jamie even came back to due a couple of small things that I didn't notice until after the work was completed. Those things actually turned out to be nothing wrong at all. However, Jamie went ahead and took care of those few little items just to help out. No sweat - no arguments - he came out and took care of that himself. I would HIGHLY recommend Jamie and his crew at Encompass Contracting for any work that you need done to your house. If we need any additional work I'll be calling Jamie in a second. I've recommended Jamie to multiple folks. He is very personable and a man of integrity. I can't say enough good things about our experience. Thank you so much for your hard work.   I found Steadfast on Angie's List and hired them to screen in my back porch. The team did an excellent job, and I was very pleased. Fast forward 2 years later, an animal somehow made a huge hole in my porch screen overnight. Screen on one entire side of the porch was torn with a hold about 1 foot long and needed to be replaced. I called Steadfast to see what they could do. Jack, the general manager explained that they have a lifetime warrantee for materials but that did not cover 3rd party causes - like an animal damaging the screen. However, as a customer courtesy, he sent his repair team to replace the screen for NO CHARGE within 2 days! That is the type of outstanding company that Steadfast is - they stand behind their work and customer service is A#1. I would use them again in a heart beatshow more

  Three sides of this lower room's walls are finished with previously existing and newly installed outdoor brick. The fourth wall is done in standard painted sheetrock. Similar to the upstairs, this wall contains matching arched radius windows and doors. The ceiling is composed of faux tin panels, darkly stained wooden beams and a series of stained glass ceiling lamps. The room is finished with a dark black and rust set of ceramic slate tiles fashioned in a checkerboard pattern. The overall look is definitely turn of the century (20th Century) Mid-Western. In short, this was not an easy project. In fact, Housworth Construction had to pick up where an initial (unnamed) builder left off after claiming bankruptcy, having made very little visible progress and leaving us in a lurch. They were able to pick up the pieces and finish the project in spite of previously unanticipated and undiscovered obstacles ( like the need to introduce lower level post and beam construction to strengthen the ledger board foundation, ensure stability and meet inspection codes or the task of repouring a lower level floor and footer complicated by the presence of unexpected but very much large and snarling tree roots). In addition, during the course of this renovation, we were able to also address some pre-existing and nagging problems of broken brick and rotted wood on the house's exterior. Fixing these was as important to me as the new construction itself. The Housworth construction team consisted of a mixture of in-house and outside subcontractors including a demolition crew, foundation men, masons, carpenters, roof and gutter installers, window and door installers, an HVAC team, electricians, painters, tilemen, and clean up crew. The end product they delivered was exceptional. During the four months of almost daily construction I can honestly say that Richard Anderson was not only present constantly but also very open and responsive to our needs. He explained things clearly and always offered options with clear cost implications. With his high tech approach to planning, building and monitoring the project, we always knew where we stood. He took several thousand pictures and multiple videos during our construction and was also able to show us multiple examples of Housworth's previous and current projects via his library of personal constructions pics. I had used this company previously for roof replacement and replacement gutter installation, though not for actual renovation or remodeling.
