PLEASE READ: Mark was great to work with in the beginning. After I did calculations for some items, Mark became angry and stopped communicating. Before construction could continue, I needed to get an electrician out because there was a real issue. Mark insisted there wasn't. After I insisted and called him out on his lack of communication, he said he was sending over his electrician the next morning. I cancelled plans and stayed home to wait on electrician. I never heard from Mark and he did not respond to texts. I called and he said there was nothing wrong and a new switch was installed. I called an electrician. There was an issue and the new switch was not installed. We also agreed that I would pay for flooring materials on main floor(lvp and underlayment) and Mark would demo and level kitchen and provide transition and baseboard. The floor is sloped in an area and there is a random square board and cuts in wood in more than one area. Mark used my old cheap laminate as a transition board on the stairs. This is not a joke or exaggeration. In addition, Mark did not use the underlayment that I purchased at his recommendation. Mark’s company cut and painted flooring on my gray stained covered porch without putting anything down. I have this on blink video occurring all day. There was paint and dust all over the porch. Mark does not apologize ever. The area had sharp small nails on stairs that were not even worked on. Mark said my request to correct this is ridiculous and said he would not repair slope. I’ve given him every opportunity to repair. I asked for an additional contract so we could let the contract guide us instead. Mark refused to add repairing of slope area and ignores me about underlayment. I asked him not to continue work or send his guys back for other work(He is doing insurance work on bottom floor.) Mark sent his guys twice after this and they just came into the house. I sent them home on Labor Day and texted Mark that I explicitly asked him not to be on the property until we had a signed agreement. His response was they could just work in garage. Update: 9/9/24! Mark is now demanding I take the reviews down or he won’t repair floors. The nightmare continues. He said he is putting a lien on my house. He says I am preventing him from doing the work but that is a complete lie. Read all details above to understand.

Mark truly made our dreams come true! He was the most fair and reasonable quote, he took time to plan with us on time design and fixtures and he checked in himself to make sure work was getting done properly. We had an amazing experience remodeling our shower!

If I could give ten stars, I would. Ace completely rebuilt our old and rotting front deck and the results were everything we wanted and more. The work crews completely rebuilt the deck in 3 days and everyone has complimented the work done with glowing praise. Even my most discerning friends love the work. Ace was extremely professional and the price quoted was very reasonable considering the cost of materials and amount of work involved. The crews were friendly, hard-working, and cleaned up the job site beautifully. We will be using them for additional projects going forward.

From beginning to end, Mark and his crew did a fantastic job. Mark was available from the estimate process through to completion. Every phone call was responded to in a timely manner. I needed major work done and Mark assured me that they would do their best to get the job done as quickly as possible. His crew worked diligently! They were all very nice and professional. Initally the job was going to take 2-3 weeks, but the men worked to get the job done early and they were 100% done with enough time for me to get the house cleaned up for Christmas. The team went above and beyond.

We have used Ace for several jobs over the years: Deck rebuild, ceiling repair and most recently, interior painting. They do outstanding work in a timely professional manner. Mark responds quickly to any questions or concerns. The crew really hustle and will finish your job with no cutting corners, on time, and make minimal mess and clean up after themselves. Each job they've done we've been thrilled with the results. I would not consider anyone else for any of the type of work they do. You will not be disappointed!

Great. Mark Lim was knowledgeable, courteous, professional and fulfilled all of his promises and my expectations. His men were task oriented and worked very well as a team. They were prompt, efficient, thorough in their work and I would hire Ace again without hesitation, should the need arise.

Everybody from Ace Roof & Construction was awesome to work with. Owner Mark came out to give us an estimate, understood that some siding issues were called out by our lender as needing to be corrected before we could close on our house refinance, gave us a fair quote and - since time was of the essence - had the crew out to work on it very quickly. The crew was awesome. They did GREAT work - despite having to work through, and scheduling around, some heavy downpours. Once the rain cleared up a bit, they jumped on the caulking and painting of the new siding and it looks GREAT! Kudos to everybody at Ace! They kept us on-track for our house refinance timeline! Great experience working with the Ace team. Mark designed and constructed a new deck for my house. The project turned out even better than expected. Mark keep me informed and came up with solutions to make sure I had a great deck in the end. I thought the pricing was fair and I got a quality constructed deck. Mark is excellent. When I first met him he was very courteous, wore a mark and stood 6ft apart. He was extremely personable and friendly. I told him what I wanted and his team built it. He oversaw everything and fixed anything that I didnt like and if he saw anything that needed to be fixed. He gave me a high quality shed with shed foundation and decently priced too. I am very impressed with his work and was ecstatic at the end when it was completed. I definitely would hire him for other projects. You cant go wrong with Mark.

This is my review of my experience with Mark Lim of Ace Roof & Construction. Mark arrived for a estimate on my older deck, he made suggestions, took notes and asked exactly what was needed for project. Mark is very personal, easy to talk with. I received my estimate which was very well organized with exactly what we talked about. I had three other contractors, also from Angies list. Two of the guys did not even get back with a estimate. Marks price was in range of other two contractors price. Mark arrived on time with 3 workers and efficiently removed rotted decking boards and railing. I had a section of my deck over a hill and deck had sunk in spots. The repair was more than Mark had expected, and had to do additional work and apply extra support and extra bags of concrete to stablize ground. Mark did extra work without complaints and in fact he canceled a meeting to stay on site to supervise work. This extra work cost Marks crew another couple of hours and he never complained, only told me he did not anticipate extra work. My best praise of Mark Lim is he replaced old wood with new from a section of steps that we never disscussed or paid for. When i asked Mark why he replace wood on steps he said he could not leave them in condition they were in and he replaced steps cause it was right thing to do. This is a rare character today! Overall Mark did a excellent job on my deck. and I highly recommend him.
