"I had an odd 6 ' pipe perpendicular to a plumbing pipe that was open ended and was draining washing machine and dishwashing unbeknowst to us until an electrician and a termite inspector almost got a bath in our crawl space.  I called Keefe plumbing in the morning and first thing in the afternoon, two plumbers were working feverishly to figure out and fix this weird pipe.  It took about 3 hours to solve the mystery (one was in the house communicating with the one under the house as we tested the washer and the kitchen sink (attached to the dishwasher drain).  They also had me flush the toliets to rule out any sewer problems.  So I was very happy with their perserverance  to make sure the job was complete.  And the $20 off Angie's list member coupon was helpful to have.

"All went smoothly. They did have to come back out and redo the way one pipe was going to another with a coupler as opposed to tape but there was no issue in doing this. One thing I will add is that people need to check with their termite company before doing an encapsulation. This voided our lifetime warranty. State building code (I called our county's office) is supposed to leave 4 inches down from the concrete blocks with encapsulation so they can do a termite inspection to supply a warranty. They did not do this and the termite company wanted this to code to supply a temite warranty. Sundry had to come back out to remove some of the encapsulation and charged us the cost of doing this. The workmanship was good on both the trenching for removing water under the house and the encpaulation. The encapsulation just wasn't to code which cost us an extra $3000."

I had two other companies come out (one company did not even bother to get back to me with an estimate). Each company had a different opinion of what needed to be done and BDry's procedure was the least invasive and made the most sense.
