"Stay away from Budget Movers of Augusta, Inc. Their Google and social media reviews are fake or posted by internal employees to mislead customers. On October 5, 2024, they arrived 50 minutes late with no explanation, bringing no protective equipment or proper tools despite promises from the owner, Jim. Their careless handling damaged my sectional sofa, dining table, garage door stopper, and door knob, leaving me with $650 to $1,390 in repair costs. They also failed to disclose a mandatory two-hour charge, forcing me to overpay for an hour of unnecessary service. When I contacted customer support, I was met with empty promises, repeated excuses, and no resolution. No repairs, no reimbursement, and no accountability. I demand full compensation or immediate repairs. I also urge the Review Board to investigate their deceptive practices and recommend that the Better Business Bureau remove them from its listings. Do not trust this company. Do not hire them. Protect yourself."

"We've hired Small Time Movers twice - once to move us from one house to another, and another time to move a piano and various other antique furniture from grandparents' houses to our house. They were great to work with both times - they arrived on time, were professional, took great care of our belongings, and got the job done without issues (including getting a 105 year old piano up a considerable hill to our house, and by hand, since they couldn't back the truck up our driveway). "I hired J&J VIP Movers to move me on 3/21/25 for a 1 bdrm apartment move within the same apt complex. Initially, Jason was professional and helpful, and answered all my questions. He even provided an excellent reference. I emphasized that 75% of my furniture was less than 2 months old, and I wanted 3-4 movers. However, on the day of the move, Jason, didn't answer the phone until 9 mins before my scheduled move. I wasn't sure they would show up until they arrived. I was given 2 movers instead of the agreed upon 3 movers. And because of the way things were handled, I ended up having to contract the movers and accept the liability for my move. At the end of the day, my move was not a priority. Thankfully, the day turned out OK, and I got some exercise since I had to move some things myself. Jason made a stressful day, even more stressful. He may be VIP, but he was not VIP for me."
