Small Time Movers

We've hired Small Time Movers twice - once to move us from one house to another, and another time to move a piano and various other antique furniture from grandparents' houses to our house. They were great to work with both times - they arrived on time, were professional, took great care of our belongings, and got the job done without issues (including getting a 105 year old piano up a considerable hill to our house, and by hand, since they couldn't back the truck up our driveway). They offer a great service at a reasonable price, and I won't hesitate to hire them again!

The movers were great. They arrived on time for the pick-up and loaded the truck in a relative short period of time. They arrived in Charlotte a short time after my family did, and went straight to unload the truck. All the boxes and furniture arrived in tact; nothing was broken. They also assembled the bed and couple of pieces of furniture for us. I called Bill Thomas and thanked him for his team treating my wife and daughter in a professional manner as I was not able to be there for the move. I would definitely use them again for another state to state move. We live in the New York City tri-state area and were glad to find someone reputable to move our daughter to from GA to NC. We definitely recommend this company's services.

Both of our moves went very smoothly, thanks to Small Time Movers. During both jobs they took great pains to wrap and safeguard all of our belongings. The moves were very efficient, and stress free. All of the employees, and company owners, are very knowledgeable, polite, east to get along with, and STRONG. Great. After living in my home 19 years, we had accumulated a lot of stuff that had to be moved. These guys were friendly and were willing to go out of their way to help. There may have been a minor scratch or two but that is to be expected.

The movers were prompt although unfamiliar with the area and got right to work.  They moved everything we asked them too (and even some boxes that my husband and I did not get to).  They were very nice young men and we enjoyed talking to them.  We didn't have any problems until it came to setting up the new place.  They were supposed to move a very heavy tv into a cabinet and although I did remind them to do so, it did not get done.  They had to take off some of the hardware on the front door to get the furniture in and did not reattach it.  These were minor things but the worst one was I washed a load of clothes and when I went into the laundry room, there was an inch of water all over the room and starting to spill out into the hall.  They did not attach the drain hose, which only had to be picked up and put in the drain hole, no work at all involved.  It took my husband literally 5 seconds to do this.  We liked the price, liked the guys, but they need to focus a little more on their work.

They arrived when expected and preceded to unload the trailer. They were careful not to damage neither our home or the furniture.
We decided to have some of the furniture placed in the garage to be cleaned before moving it into the house and plan to have them back to move it when the cleaning is done. We are very happy with their moving service and would highly recommend Small Time Movers.

The guys were great, they were very professional and got there right on time.

I called late on Friday, August 7, to check their prices and availability for a last minute move. The price quoted was less than the price of the 2 other movers I contacted, and didn't have a separate charge for the truck, or a minimum of hours required.  It was short notice, but after being given the price for the job and having read their excellent reviews on Angie's List, I hired them to move a bedroom suite, recliner, end tables, and washer and dryer, the following Monday, August 10, at 8:00, from my home to a storage unit about 5 miles away.  On Monday morning, at 8:00 a.m., I received a call to inform me they were on the way, but running a little late and should be there by 8:30.  They arrived about 8:20 and immediately began loading the truck, wrapping the glass carefully, covering all the furniture to be loaded, and putting the mattress and box springs in plastic covers, as requested.  The 2 movers never slowed down, and had the truck loaded in less than an hour.  We were soon on the way to the storage unit, and carefully unloaded and unwrapped the items, and had the move completed in an hour and 40 minutes.  I would highly recommend Small Time Movers for any moving job, and would hire them again if needed.  Very professional and smooth move.  It was a pleasure dealing with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas.  Thanks so much!

They did an outstanding job. They wrapped everything and were especially careful with the glass. All of the items were left wrapped until they got them in the house to insure our privacy.I was extremely impressed.

We really enjoyed working with these people.  We were called in a very timely manner to set up our move date.  Very courteous on the phone.  We got the special deal and it cost us roughly $300.00 for extra hours.  We had a lot to move so we expected to go over the deal limit.  Plus they let us know exactly what it would be and made sure to tell us of any additional charges up front.  We were not hit with anything that we didn't expect.  A cheap computer desk was slightly damaged in the move, but like I said it was partical board basically and the gentleman told us immediately that this had occurred and was truthful about what happened so we had no problem with this whatsoever.  All other work was done wonderfully.  No damage to house moving in or out.  Hopefully this is our last move and we won't need movers again but we would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is moving.
