"This was our second project built by Backyard Construction. We had been so pleased with a 10x12' garden shed they built for us in 2012 that we had them build our art studio as well.  Once again, they did an outstanding job. We could not be more pleased with both buildings. Their part of the studio project involved constructing the shell of the structure; my husband and I, our electrician and our painter then finished the interior
We've used Backyard Construction because the quality of their buildings is excellent. After looking at dozens of other companies' offerings it was easy to see that Backyard used better materials and offered a higher level of workmanship yet was still very competitive pricewise. The studio is now one year old and the garden shed is two years old, and neither building has presented any problems whatsoever.
Construction began on time and was completed right on schedule. Their crew was courteous and extremely efficient. Dustin was a pleasure to work with. He was very responsive to our ideas and did an excellent job following up to make sure we were happy with everything. Working with Backyard Construction was a very positive experience for us each time, and we're more than happy to recommend them to others.

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Homeowners in Dublin often skip marking underground utilities or overlook HOA rules, leading to costly delays. Installing a fence without a recent survey can cause boundary disputes. Choosing materials that don’t withstand Georgia’s humidity or failing to plan for drainage on clay-heavy soil are frequent errors. Always verify your fencing contractor’s insurance, references, and experience with local regulations before starting work.

Helpful?

Before contacting a fencing contractor in Dublin, gather your property survey, note existing fence lines, and take clear photos of your yard. Mark utility lines and record any HOA guidelines that may affect your project. List your preferred fence height, material, and gate locations. Confirm the total linear footage needed and check if your planned fence height or location requires a permit from local authorities.

Helpful?

Watch for fencing quotes in Dublin that lack clear material descriptions, require full payment upfront, or are significantly lower than others. Be cautious if a contractor cannot provide proof of insurance, skips discussing utility marking, or lacks local references. High-pressure sales tactics, no physical business address, or negative reviews from Dublin residents are also warning signs when choosing a fencing contractor.

Helpful?

Homes in Dublin with steep slopes, dense tree coverage, or uneven clay soil often require extra planning for fence installation. Properties near the Oconee River may need special attention for flood risk and soil stability. If your lot has irregular boundaries, overhead utilities, or older features like wells or septic systems, consult a fencing contractor to assess challenges before starting your project.

Helpful?

Fencing projects in Dublin become more complex when properties have mature trees, irregular lot shapes, or are located in flood-prone areas near the river. Historic district homes may face extra design restrictions. If your property sits on a corner lot, traffic visibility rules apply. Overhead power lines, septic systems, and dense clay soil also require specialized planning for a successful fence installation.
