"There are no words that can completely express my thanks and gratitude for this professional with Legit Plumber LLC. Installation of an 50 gallon electric hot water heater was installed today as scheduled without any complications. When I submitted my request for a professional, this provider was noted. I soon received a consultation call from Troy. He listen, patiently as I explain the dire situation. Troy ask for pictures and said that he would complete cost estimation and call me when complete. He kept his word and called, giving me a detailed breakdown of what needs to be done and replacement cost for water heater and needed supplies to complete. An installation date and time window was scheduled. Troy kept me updated regarding his arrival. He arrived on time. He did a review and again, explained what he would be doing. Legit Plumber LLC is the one to call if you should need a hot water heater installed. I am very satisfied consumer. Pic of work in process."

"I hired Neli over a week period for 3 different appliances, my dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, and even kitchen sink! I had a fantastic experience: 1. I fixed my dryer with Thomas' excellent remote guidance, changing the timer and the switch! Fabulous guidance Thomas, with lots of money saved! I learned a lot in the process. 2. I determined that there was no dishwasher leak and in the process learned how to check for leaks and trouble shoot for some common repair issues. It cost $40.00 but as I had some water on the floor, I was ready to get a new dishwasher. Now, I am confident that it wasn't a leak and caused by putting in the dishes in a funny manner and not a repair issue. I am using the dishwasher now again with no problem. 3. I determined with Thomas' help that the washing machine had a major problem and could have spun out of control into my wall....no question, it was time to get a new washing machine! This was a well spent $40.00--I even got Thomas advice on purchasing a new washing machine and what to look for. 4. I checked the drainage on my kitchen sink and learned how to empty out the "trap" and that most likely, I am okay, but what to swap out if I have continuing issues with slow drainage. In the end, I saved lots of money, gaining and learning valuable experience! Absolutely fabulous service!"

"Very professional and very friendly. They knew exactly what to do to get the job done in my best interest. Explained every thing they were doing and why they were going to do it. They saw a better way to do the job and saved me some money on the job and also gave me advise to prevent my system from backing up again in the future. Very honest and up front about the things they needed to do, no hidden cost. I will hire their services again and highly recommend them. Great company"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Locate and test your main water shutoff valve immediately to ensure it functions during emergencies. Next, schedule a sewer lateral camera inspection to check for root intrusion in GA clay soils. You should also visually inspect any supply and drain lines located within your crawl space. Look for signs of past freezing, active corrosion on older galvanized pipes, or pest damage, and address these plumbing issues before starting cosmetic renovations.

Helpful?

Account for the clay-heavy soils in GA, which expand and shift underground pipes over time. You must also consider local climate extremes. High humidity accelerates corrosion on exposed metal fittings, while occasional hard freezes demand proper pipe insulation. If your Dublin property sits near the Oconee River flood zone, install backflow preventers on sewer lines to block sewage from entering your home during high-water events.

Helpful?

Prioritize adding anti-scald valves to tubs and showers to protect your family from hot water burns. You should also request a lead test from the city if your Dublin home was built before 1986. For outdoor plumbing, insulate exposed pipes to prevent freezing and keep pets away from hazardous wet zones. Finally, secure and clearly mark all septic tank lids in your yard to ensure absolute safety for children and animals.

Helpful?

A major mistake is performing unpermitted work without a licensed professional. You must secure appropriate permits for plumbing work to avoid complications during home sales. Homeowners also underestimate local freeze risks. Failing to insulate pipes in unconditioned spaces leads to burst lines during cold snaps. Finally, never connect new materials to severely corroded cast iron or galvanized pipes in older Dublin homes, as this causes early system failures.

Helpful?

Start by confirming whether your home connects to the city sewer or relies on a private septic system. Next, identify your foundation type. Many older Dublin homes feature crawl spaces, which expose supply and drain lines to humidity and pests. You also need to know the age of your home. Properties built before the 1980s contain aging cast iron drains or galvanized steel pipes that require complete replacement during any plumbing work.
