"Lewis Co. Does a great job with installation of flooring. We had a couple of small mishaps, but the owner himself came out and helped fix them. I would recommend this company to anyone! And their prices were very reasonable!"

"Well my experience was the first day he came he had trouble with the sander he was on the phone for several hours and then he was working on his sander for several hours I mean it was a waste of time all of that then when he finally sanded my floor it seem to go okay but when he get down to styling it can you use some kind of buffer to apply the stain and the stain went all on my baseboards But on a lot of them and it went up like a half an inch to an inch in spaces I have my hair is a Great big cabin and the wood that they use was for like a real porous. And he said that he would tape it off. He got it all over my best boards even though they taped it And then he had me for a towel so I gave him And he stuffed them in the air conditioning events So no does or anything would come up and also knew that would go down in the vent. And got how off of my personal tower wreck And ruined them. I wasn't satisfied he left before I could get back so I didn't have a chance so I didn't have a chance to review his work. My husband took pictures from upstairs but you couldn't proceed with how badly the baseboards were."

Rusgrove Construction, LLC was founded upon by a husband and wife team that share the same desire to build something better, together. Michael has over 17 years of different, various specialty construction trades. He enjoys working with customers to construct even the most complex projects. He is highly skilled, recommended and knows every in and out of the construction industry. He continues to stay up to speed on codes, regulations and requirements in order to give his customers the very best. He started with his father at a very young age and pursued it, with perfection, over his years in the field. He has worked under many highly successful contractors in which he has learned specific, valuable knowledge of this industry. He discovered early, that his passion within this was more than just fixing or building things. Its an art. Reconstructing, designing or building, his skilled work is something he takes very seriously. He only works with the best materials available and only hires the most trusted, skilled labors. He never compromises quality for time and gives his clients realistic schedules as well as working within discussed budgets to give what his customers expects and deserves, the very first time.

"Our experience with Rusgrove Construction has been nothing short of a nightmare. Michael and his wife, the owners, took thousands of dollars for a project at our house and spent it on bills they owed. The majority of the money we paid them did not go towards our job and now they do not have money to pay for materials and finish the job. It has gotten so bad that one of the suppliers they used has placed a lien on our home because they didn't pay for the materials they ordered. We have been lied to on multiple occasions and when trying to reach Michael to get information, he ignores us. He has gone so far as to block my number so he doesn't have to respond. We started this project in September 2019 and we are still less than 50% completed. Michael and his wife took advantage of us, deceived us, and is now avoiding us. For a small business owner, they have acted irresponsibly and with cowardice in conducting business."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

It is normal to glue carpet down, though it’s not the only or the most popular method of installing carpet. Modern techniques include tack strips and stretching the carpet, but you might still find glued carpet in older homes or a home with a DIY’d past. Removing a glued-down carpet will be harder compared to other methods of installation.

The difference between a 40-oz. and 60-oz. carpet is the carpet face weight, meaning the 60-oz. carpet weighs 20 ounces more per square yard. When looking at two similar carpets of the same material and type, the 60-oz. carpet face weight likely indicates higher quality and more durability due to heavier carpet fibers.

A stair runner can be cheaper than a carpet and will definitely save money over the cost of refinishing hardwood floors and stairs. The price depends, however, on the fabric and quality of the runner. A wool stair runner can be more expensive than an inexpensive polyester carpet and vice versa. Keep an eye on your budget, knowing that the higher quality the carpet and the carpet pad, the better the carpet will wear over time.

Yes, laying laminate over carpet may void the warranty of your flooring. Most laminate manufacturers specify installation over a suitable subfloor, not carpet. Deviating from these installation guidelines can invalidate the warranty. You should stick to the manufacturer's instructions to ensure warranty coverage, and you should always consult with professional laminate flooring installers near you if you have any concerns or questions regarding installation methods.

Experts advise that replacing carpeting can bring a 50% to 80% return on investment. However, new carpeting doesn’t necessarily add value to your overall home value. Because flooring value heavily depends on taste, it can be tricky to determine whether new carpet will increase your home sale price. Carpeting tends to be a renovation that increases overall comfort and aesthetics for your home, but it’s not a big factor in value.
