50Floor. Just the absolute worst. They installed carpets in 4 bedrooms as we were sold the upgraded “stain proof” carpets with the gold star installation. After 5 months the carpet showed deep stains plus an install seam at the entrance of the room. Not hidden at all. Right at the entrance in plain sight. 50Floor sent an installation expert to review the install. She even said there should be a seam at the entrance. Despite multiple emails inquiring about the installation, no acknowledgement. Dana Mason, are you named in the class action law suit against 50Floor. You should be! My carpet needs to be reinstalled the right way.

50 floor’s workmanship, business practices, and communication are so incredibly terrible that I would advise any homeowner to run FAR away rather than doing business with 50 Floor. I am sharing our experience to warn fellow homeowners. Their national manager- Dana Mason as well as the SCG branch manager- Broc Stanley, do not care about appearance or quality workmanship and 50 floor installation warranty is entirely worthless. They started installation in October but did not finish installation until February. Their subcontractors, SCG Surfaces Construction Group, spoke very little if any English, did not show up when they were supposed to (total no-show or several days later), had to glue down my floating floor near the stairs because they misaligned the board and had to cut it to fit rather than locking it in place, broke our bed frame when moving it (and neglected to tell us about the damage), and it was discovered that they did not abide by basic industry and manufacture installation standards when they left our concrete subfloor largely exposed with missing vapor barrier in several large areas. This allowed moisture from the concrete to destroy our new flooring in a few months time, warping and cupping the boards. 50 floor was contacted, but did not take responsibility for the damaged flooring and stated that they would not be assisting us with removal or replacement. We were forced to remove this damaged flooring ourselves, discovering large areas that were missing any vapor barrier, leaving the boards exposed to moisture from the concrete. 50 floor has yet to honor their “one year workmanship guarantee” and has had no explanation for a lack of barrier in place. Was it due to lack of employee training, laziness, cutting corners on cost? They have no explanation. We have plenty of photo and video evidence of the patchy scarce pieces that were thrown down, as well as a letter from an independent contracting group that confirms the damage is due to a missing vapor barrier, and yet they have not acknowledged their mistake or committed to installing our floor properly. We are left without flooring in half of our home due to their careless installation practices, only months after paying for whole home flooring installation. The national manager, Dana Mason, suggested that we contact our insurance to cover their damage, but our insurance has refused to cover damage that they agree is caused by poor workmanship. To say this is devastating for our family and our home is an understatement. Photos included of “vapor barrier” that is meant to be wall to wall and overlapping, glued in and cracking floor plank, and broken furniture.

$15,000 for 1700 sqft. By far more expensive than Empire and I've had such a horrible experience that I'm shaking I'm so livid. The sales guy gave me the same spiel he gave when he gave me a quote at another house. He's one of the owners, shouldnt even be doing sales calls but they're sooo busy. A seam appeared in the middle of my living room over the first week. It took forever to finally get them out to look at it. The woman on the phone told us we must have done something to it. They came out and said it was a manufacturer defect. A week goes by without hearing from them. Call and call, only to be told we have to file a claim with the manufacturer to see if we did it or if it was in fact defective before anything could be done. $15,000 and three weeks later I still have a large run in my living room and finishing nails sticking out in my thresholds. Save your money and your time, go with another flooring company.

$16,000 dollars - And we paid cash. 50-Floor was the worst experience in our 36-year marriage so far. I signed on to “Angi” to see about any class-action law suits and there is a lady working on one. I notice my case is so similar to hers. It was in 2021, and we did the laminate-wood long plank pieces in very large areas both upstairs and down. And, one strip of carpet on the staircase, with the wood breaking it up at the landing where it turns the corner. The crew got mixed up in dates and could not return so we were sent an entirely different crew who began laying out planks running in the wrong direction. Our leveling sacks of sand were doubled that we had to buy. We were told they may need 2 more or so, at the time of the deal. A sack is about 25.00 I think. They said the carpet was the best for pets, and the wood floor too. We all have splinters from the wood, and the cats had that crummy carpet finished off inside of 8 WEEKS! The carpet they replaced was there for 15 years.

The installer gave our card an extra swipe after installation, stealing over $900 from us. Turning a one bedroom carpet job for over $1400 into over $2300. The company won't return my calls, emails or resolve this for us. We have to dispute with our credit card company. Run, don't walk to Empire instead.

Very stressful dealing with a parent at in-home hospice. While all this is going on they broke several pieces of furniture. They drove through the yard because somebody had to leave early and tore up the side. They left trash behind

We have used 50 floor in our previous home for laminate and in our current home for carpet and Hardwood. DO NOT USE THEM FOR HARDWOOD. They delivered the incorrect size for our project, but when they noticed immediately went to the warehouse to get the correct size and installed it without letting it acclimate. A few years later we notices that it is starting to bow. We have spent over a year trying to get someone to look at it and have still not seen anyone. They told us that we would need to file a claim with Mohawk, but it was an install issue so they will not cover it. Their warranty is absolute crap and you need to go with a reputable small business owner instead. We emailed some photos including the one attached in this review and they said they could not see the warping. Judge for yourself. Now they are telling us that we have to pay for the repairs when their faulty installation was the cause. It's not right.

Worst flooring company ever! Spent almost $10k on bamboo flooring with them. The salesman saw at the time of installation we have pets, explained how amazing the floors were and that their best quality was that they didn't scratch and they were excellent for homes with pets. The flooring installed is a cheap Chinese floor that has defects and scratches from the dogs just walking across the floor. The installation was horrible no transitions in between rooms. The floor has come unattached and is separating in multiple places. Inspector kicked a piece that actually came up of the floor and then just left it there. (which was filmed) Corners of floorboards are peeling and coming apart. Part of the floor has defects from the manufacturer that looks like tiger tracks going thru the whole house. Contacted 50 floors to open a complaint about all the above, they deflected and blamed it on the manufacturer. They requested their inspector come out, which he did. He spent 20 min cleaning the floors to remove track marks and stated that it was without a doubt a manufacturing defect. Someone from 50 floors then contacted us and refused to mention the tiger tracks and state that scratches and damage to the floor are not covered under warranty. Also explained the floor is only scratch resistant, not scratch proof (not what was sold) After stating that their own inspector explained that it was a manufacturer defect and mistakes made by the installation by not installing transitions between rooms. I was then emailed that they would open a claim with the manufacturer and they would be sending out an outside inspection company, which they did. After they submitted their report, they called and deflected some more and stated that it was due to the home but refused to show us the inspection report or explain how the home caused tiger track imprints on the flooring product? Also how imprints are on extra pieces of flooring (left by 50 floors and still in the box), if it was due to the home? We were refused an answer. I asked to speak to the manager for an explanation and why we are unable to see the report if it states exactly what they are saying? Was told that the manager refused to speak with me. Overall product was horrible, the installation was horrible, warranty coverage obsolete, and a manager refusing to speak to a customer make this company one of the worst to ever deal with. We are currently starting a lawsuit against them and speaking with an attorney about a class-action lawsuit. If you have had issues with 50 floors please feel free to contact me ([email protected]). I have attached a few pictures of the tiger tracks and bad installation. This goes on thru the entire house. It sounded like they were use to being sued and something they almost expected. Do not use this company you will greatly regret it !!!!!!!! Feel free to email me for pictures of damaged floors and installation.

I'm very disappointed. Like so many I saw the advertisement on tv and thought that this company would be good to go with. I spent over $5k on flooring and now regret it. There is glue on pieces in my living room. I feel the staples going up the carpeted stairs when barefoot and the laminate planks started lifting on the edges from the first mop. Now every time I spray mop I see more areas of lifting. I called Customer Service and they told me that the floors are nor waterproof. The only reason why I didn't rate as a 1 star is because the salesman Mathew was so wonderful and I really liked the installers. Everyone was nice on the front end but Customer Service was totally different when I expressed my concerns post install. Cheap materials. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else!

Angry! 50 floor deleted our complaint on FB and blocked us from posting our experience so you wouldn't find out about their work. Our experience: 50floor tiled our entryway and it is HORRIBLE. Uneven floor, sharp edges sticking up, grout lines are different widths and they left mortar damaging our driveway and porch steps leaving us to do the repairs. Customer service manager is dodging our numerous calls and emails. My husband is a military veteran, I am afraid we are going to trip and fall from the terrible floor 50floor installed and won't fix. ? We paid 50floor in good faith and wish they would fix our floor in good faith also. We really wish we could put something good here, we trusted 50 floor and hope they fix our floor so we can post an update that they back their work.

Sales experience was superb. John Souls was extremely helpful and knows is business. His professionalism was noted and impact my buying decision. However, the experience from there was horrible. My complaints have been met with resistance time and again. The quality of the install, in my opinion, is troublesome. Company response to my concerns was "the seams are within industry standards". My "professional installation" included a one adult installer and his children. I have no issue with family working for their Father, especially in the Summer months. However, the installer(s) did not have the appropriate manpower to move all furniture out of the living room prior to installation. My leather sofas were stood up on their sides and rocked/slid into the dining room instead of picked up and moved. My bookcase was "two heavy" and left in place during the install. Carpet was installed to about a three foot distance from the opposite wall and they then slid the book case onto the new carpet and seamed the remaining with one long seam to 5 smaller seamed pieces. It's a mess. As I've experienced with this install, I do own some of the blame for my purchase from 50 Floor. I've since read dozens and dozens of negative reviews on multiple sites. If I had to do it all over again, I would no have selected 50 Floor. There is much more I could opine regarding my experience, however, given my current list of concerns going unanswered or ignored, it's not worth the time here. Hopefully this message will supply support for any consumer to press pause before doing business with this company. Sadly, their marketing and advertising budget, along with their catchy jingle will have more economic impact to their bottom line than my negative review here.
Response from 50 Floor
"Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience with 50 Floor. Our installers are trained to minimize carpet seams; however seams are inevitable and may be visible. We strive to make sure each flooring installation is installed within industry standards each time. Also, we understand your concern for installers that have young children present on the installation site. An installer is required to be the age of 16 or older to work on a floor installation job. 50 Floor is aware that this may occur. Younger installers will work with seasoned installers to gain on the job training/knowledge to continue and enhance in the skill of installing flooring for years to come. Thank you again for your feedback as it will continue to help us as a company improve on a customer's experience. Kind Regards, Angel Mobley Customer Service Department 50 Floor 1-877-50-FLOOR"
