"Stephen Moodie and Peerless Kitchens transformed our kitchen and half bath into our dream kitchen and bath. Mr. Moodie was very professional and displayed his superior craftsman skills in all he did. He was amazing and worked with us to design each and every aspect of the project. We also understand that Peerless Kitchens uses subcontractors to handle Stone Work, Tile, as well as Electrical. Mr. Moodie made sure that these subcontractors performed to his expectations, ensuring that the project met his high standards, as well as meeting our satisfaction. We highly recommend Peerless Kitchens and Mr. Stephen Moodie and are ecstatic with our new Kitchen and Half Bath!"

"I asked Bob to give me a quote to repair a back porch door and sunscreen that has fallen off. I also asked him to help with painting my mail box. Bob was very prompt to come by. He gave his estimates and promised to come the next day morning to complete the project. He was on time and did a great job and on budget. I will recommend him again and I am certainly keeping his number in case I need him in future. Great guy to work with and great service. Thank you!"

Kitchen Cabinet Refacing questions, answered by experts

Properly maintained, resurfacing typically lasts 5-10 years. Factors like surface usage and exposure to chemicals affect longevity.

Refacing cabinets is more cost-effective than total replacement and offers a refreshed look by simply replacing doors and hardware, and applying new surface veneers while retaining existing cabinet boxes.

Refinishing cabinets requires sanding and restoring them with paint, lacquer, or stain. Refacing cabinets involves removing and replacing existing cabinet doors and hardware. Refacing cabinets can be more costly. Refacing cabinets typically costs between $4,500 to $10,600

On average, it costs about 30% to 50% less to reface than to replace custom or semi-custom cabinets. However, the most affordable cabinet replacement projects tend to cost about the same amount as the average cabinet refacing project. These are replacement projects that involve pre-made stock cabinet styles rather than custom designs.

Any of your garage shelves should be able to hold heavier loads, but it’s best to place heavier items on middle shelves. The only reason for this is to prevent injury—lifting heavy loads from down low requires squatting or bending over, which can lead to back injury, and lifting heavy loads off of high shelves in the garage can be especially dangerous if you drop them.
