"Just wanted to get some firebricks repaired and the chimney to stop leaking during major storms. They came and inspected; had the firebricks replaced. After getting the chimney pressure washed and waterproofed, they “discovered” their was a disconnection hear the bottom and they couldn’t put on a new top but they could, for $10k demolish the chimney to fix it. Or, for $1k I could cap it and never use it again. It had always worked fine before this company came along. The owner doesn’t respond to my initial inspection questions but they have no problem harassing me to get their money that I never would have spent if they had any professionalism. Do not use them."

We were so impressed with his work that we hired him to build an outdoor fireplace, install travertine pavers under our deck, grout the pavers the pool company laid, build a new staircase with backlit treads leading down to the pool, install dry-wells and drainage. "Well I contacted Rob about a house I was looking to buy and renovate. He met with me, was super nice, took down everything I wanted to do, etc. I then paid him $150 for a proposal. That’s where the problems started. Although he set the deadline himself, I kept hearing ‘tomorrow, tomorrow’ when I would ask for an update. Finally got it back. It was a pretty vague list of things and rough prices attached (ex. just “floors - $X” - not “hardwood in middle bedroom,” “tile in the kitchen,” and so on) and a shoddy drawing of a layout with hardly any detail and certainly not drawn to scale. Maybe my expectations were off there. But I want a little more than that before I go take out a loan and hire you to do a $100K job, amirite? But whatever, whatever - put that aside. It comes down to when I’m going to have to make a decision, need to get him approved by my bank... POOF. GONE. Radio silence. Won’t answer calls. Won’t answer texts. Won’t answer emails. I said he could just let me know if he didn’t want to take this on, etc. Just nothing. Strange way to run a business. Especially when the job you want people to hire you for is usually time sensitive and requires excellent communication. Honestly, I hope he’s okay and if I hear otherwise, I’ll consider removing this. But without more information, I wanted to give an honest review and give folks a heads up that this could happen again."
