Good afternoon, we appreciate you taking the time to get your concerns over to us. This situation has been incredibly unfortunate for us both. We can assure you, we never look forward to giving a customer this news. Unfortunately, disconnects can be difficult to see. When we removed the chase cover that was currently on the chimney, we discovered the disconnect. Due to the location of the disconnect, and the way your system was originally installed, we are unable to fix the disconnect without accessing it from the brick façade. The owner of the business was at your home, and discussed the options with you personally. We removed the cost of all repairs that had already been completed, with the exception of the waterproofing and chase cover. We understand the chimney has always worked fine, and can function normally with a disconnect. The functionality of the chimney does not have anything to do with the safety of it, it only takes one fire for a home to burn down. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, but it would be immoral to leave a disconnect in your chimney without discussing it with you.Service Provider Response
