"Here at A Advanced Chimney Service customer service [Member Information Removed] satisfaction is our top priority ( along with safety of course!) We pride ourselves on our professional conduct exemplary service [Member Information Removed] fair pricing. These replacement panels that we use are top of the line parts- not after market or defective “seconds” as they are one of the most important parts of a prefab firebox. Their job is to absorb the majority of the heat from the fire to keep the metal of the box from getting too hot [Member Information Removed] starting a fire in the wall of combustible materials. These parts have increased in price over the past few years (just like everything else!) but we have refrained from using cheaper, unsafe parts. The reason we offer a discount while we are at the customers house is because we save time , gas [Member Information Removed] money by not having to make a second trip to do repairs. Plus we offer a multi job discount if repairs are done at the same time as a sweep. We try to save money for our customers [Member Information Removed] cut costs as much as possible because we treat our customers as we would like to be treated. There are a lot of companies ( especially those that pop up [Member Information Removed] disappear as quickly as they appear) that are unscrupulous [Member Information Removed] do not hesitate to take a customer’s money any way they can. Safety is not a concern for them! [Member Information Removed] in the end, you usually get what you pay for!"
"We take pride in our level of customer service here at A Advanced Chimney Service. Customer satisfaction and safety of their family and their home are always our top priorities ! This customer called and explained that he had 2 fireplaces- one which had a gas log unit that had not worked or been used for years. I explained to him that the charge for a chimney sweep is $249 – which includes a written 18 point safety inspection of the entire chimney and fireplace with digital pictures of any issues that need repair. Since the second fireplace had not been used because it had not been working for years, we of course would not charge a sweeping fee and simply charged an inspection fee of $49. The inspection fee was to be credited towards any parts needed to repair the unit. That was a total of $298. After sweeping the first fireplace and upon inspection, it was found that this customer was now burning a gas log unit that was in need of refurbishing. This was explained to the customer – what was needed and why - and the price. He agreed for us to do it. After we completed the work and he approved everything that we had done. we presented the bill to him and he got upset. He started insisting that he was told when he called the office that a refurbishment of a gas log unit would be included in the price of the cleaning. First of all, we did not discuss a refurbishment of a gas log unit because we didn’t even know that his fireplace had a gas log unit much less that it needed to be refurbished because we had not inspected it yet. This customer called the office to speak to the owner who had originally spoken to him the day before and scheduled his appointment. He was adamant about insisting that he was told that any and all repairs - whatever they were - would be included in the simple price of the cleaning. That is just not true. He was never told that - because as much as we would love to do all repairs for free for all of our customers, materials do cost money and unfortunately, we can’t afford to work for free. In the interest of good customer relations, we did not charge this customer for his chimney cleaning on his first unit or his inspection on the second nonworking unit(which we did try to repair to no avail). He was simply charged for the refurbishment of his gas log unit and he was provided with a completely free sweep on that fireplace and a completely free inspection on the second fireplace. We regret this customer’s confusion with the pricing and did our absolute best to rectify and resolve this situation."

"Here at A Advanced Chimney Service customer service, satisfaction & fire safety are our top priorities. Our goal is to address the needs of the customer and ensure the chimney is safe to operate and well maintained. We did clean this customers chimney for $325-which reflected a $50 summer discount and included a free written safety inspection with digital pictures. Upon inspection we found a few issues with her chimney as it had never been cleaned or maintained at all in over 30 years. Her damper was rusting, but at that time it was only surface rust so we informed her it was fine and did not need repair or replacement. We also informed her that her grate was improper and was causing damage to her heat shield refractory panels which are expensive to replace and she asked if we had a replacement grate for her size fireplace, which we did. When we inspected her chimney we found her rain pan was rusted out and her storm collar was missing. These issues were allowing water to enter the chimney structure. We showed her the pictures of the damage and also sent them to her. We explained how damaging water could be to her wooden chimney. We gave her the discounted prices, she paid the deposit and we ordered the rain pan & collar. Nothing was ordered from the fabricator until the deposit was paid because they do not build custom items without a deposit. This had also resulted in some areas of rotting trim boards which we replaced as needed, caulked and painted for free. We also installed a storm collar for free, and gave a substantial discount on her rain pan. We only charged her for the sweep, rain pan, and grate. Her total was not $2,715 as she stated. When we returned to install the rain pan we found red wasps living inside the chimney cap. We sprayed them but unfortunately the technician got stung 4 times anyway. As we were dealing with that a sudden thunderstorm popped up ( as it tends to do here in the summer) and we had to hurry to get the new pan, storm collar and cap installed to keep the rain out of the chimney. ( All the while fighting angry red wasps on a steep roof and a tall chimney!) We did manage to inspect the inside of the wooden structure but got no pictures. There were no additional repairs needed to the interior of the chimney and the customer was informed of that. We told her we would be glad to return & remove the cap, collar & pan to take pictures of the interior of the chimney but she must get an exterminator to remove wasps first so my technician doesn’t get stung again. She has called the office multiple times to yell, curse and complain. I did inform her that there was no need for yelling or cursing but unfortunately l did have to disconnect the last call due to the foul language and screaming. We are still waiting to hear if exterminator has eradicated the wasps so we can return to take apart the top of the chimney again to take pictures of the interior for her."

"Our company was contacted by this customer regarding a leak issue. We responded and provided a free inspection of his chimney with digital pictures. The technicians found large holes and gaps in his flashing ( the area where the chimney stack goes through the roof) that was allowing rain water to enter and causing water damage to the ceiling. We repaired the flashing and sealed it with Flash Seal and gave a 7 year warranty on it. The technicians also found that the crown ( the large slab of mortar that forms the entire top of a masonry chimney) had large cracks and was deteriorating and crumbling around the edges. This was allowing rain water to enter the chimney structure. We repaired the crown with mortar and Crown Coat and gave a 15 year warranty on it. The chimney also had a large section of terra cotta flue tile just sitting on top of the crown-not secured or attached at all. We mortared that on for free as it was a safety hazard. Here at A Advanced Chimney Service safety and customer service is our number one priority. The technicians also advised the customer that his entire stone chimney stack had missing and crumbling mortar and stones falling off. It also had baseball sized holes in it. The customer asked for an estimate to repair that issue at a later date, he was only concerned with stopping the leak at this time. We completed the job, the customer signed the invoice and paid us. A few days later l called the customer back with the estimate to repair the stones on the chimney. The estimate was $4,300 as he needed extensive repairs. Many stones had to be removed and reset and the entire chimney had to have the crumbling mortar ground out and replaced between every stone. The estimate also included water repellent for the chimney stack and a 10 year warranty. The customer informed me that he couldn’t pay for the repairs now because his wife wasn’t working. I then offered him a discount to help him out and reduced the estimate to $2,800. He then told me “Just come and do it”. I reminded him that we would need to be paid upon completion of the repairs and he said he couldn’t but repeated “Just come and do it”. I told him I was sorry but we were unable to do the repairs if he wasn’t able to pay us. He then started yelling at me and yelled “ l will take you to court!” He also became verbally abusive and profane and I did disconnect the call. Also this customer never asked for a certificate of insurance, as l would have been happy to provide one. He was provided with an invoice ( which he signed) with details and prices of the repairs, digital before and after pictures of the chimney and repairs and details of the warranties of both the products used were written on the invoice as well. He has since stopped payment on the credit card used to pay for the repairs so actually it was our company and the 2 technicians that performed the repairs who got scammed- by him!"
"Thank you very much for your review! Please let us know when you are ready to move forward and what we can do to be of further assistance to you!"
"We are sorry that you feel that way! Customer satisfaction and safety are our top priorities. If you had a reputable chimney company come check our work and prices you would find that our prices are actually lower than our competitors. (And the quality of our work can’t be beat!) We also have standard pricing for many of our repairs. Prices were discussed and agreed upon before the work began. Digital pictures of the damaged areas were provided ( along with the after pictures) to the customer so she could see the scope of the damage and repairs needed. The damage was extensive, with parts of the chimney falling apart, and multiple areas of water penetration. We also had to remove and correct some previous repairs done incorrectly. All work is done by professional technicians who take pride in their work. The customer was also informed that chimneys do require regular maintenance just like every other part of a home, but must be done more often than every 30 years!"
