"First and foremost, I would like to thank Omar for coming out to my house on such late notice (and during holiday season). He did an excellent job repairing a hole that I had on my wall. I would highly recommend his services!! ?"

"Best drywall work that I have had done in any of my homes in the past few years. Excellent customer service, finished the job on time, and pricing was great. We had a fair amount of big seams to fix as we took out a wall and scraped the entire downstairs ceilings popcorn off. They made easy work of a big job. Already planning on hiring them for another up coming project. 10/10 recommend"

"The company sent out "Alex". The job was to replace a small wall cabinet that fell from a previous handyman installed. Turns out the cabinet was installed without a wood anchor in the wall. Alex installed wood anchors in an open space in the wall, and showed me how it could not be pulled out. He repaired the sheetrock, blow-dried the wet mud, sanded it smooth, and matched the paint perfectly, then replaced the cabinet strong enough to sit on top of it ...all in 2.5 hours!!! Seriously EXCELLENT PROFESSIONAL, quicker than expected time start to finish by Alex!!!! He was on time and very pleasant, neat and cleaned up the work space like he was never there. I am so happy & grateful. Thank you!"

"Derrick returned my call within an hour. I told him we had an energetic woodpecker put a 2â x1â hole in our stucco the day before. He came out several hours later and did the repair. He then returned a few hours later to paint it. I couldnâ t have been happier. On top of that he is very easy to do business with."

"I had some minor damage to the siding around my house. He gave me an estimate and started work on the chimney area. It turned out there was much more damage there than anticipated. Andrew kept me apprised of the situation, sending me pictures and even a video (I was at work) so I could see the issues he had uncovered. It took him 3 days to complete this job. At the end of each day he left the work area very neat and tidy. When he completed the job, it was excellent! I am so happy with the work. He will be my go-to guy whenever I need repairs done. We postponed some of the repairs I need done because of how extensive the damage was around the chimney. Andrew is very professional, courteous, dependable, and honest. I highly recommend him."

"Edwin and his team was absolutely amazing. They replaced a garage wall inside and out, which was severe water damage. Painted whole garage. Replaced doors and painted them. I will definitely have them do more projects and repairs. His pricing is fair for work. Can't express enough how pleased I am."

"Mr. Wilson was professional and provided specific feedback on what was needed and how he would make the brick repair. I was really concerned about the mortar color match. He allayed my fears, and the match was really good! He finished the work in no time. He knows his craft. His prices are reasonable as well."

"Mike's crew arrived at the scheduled time and worked diligently to correct our erosion problem, while carefully maintaining the integrity of our lawn. The crew used existing field stones, as I had requested, to construct a short stone wall to hold back dirt in one problem area. They then used landscaping fabric covered with river rocks to manage another area of erosion. Both areas are aesthetically pleasing and should preserve the soil in those areas while allowing the natural flow of water during rain. The crew also removed invasive brush and vines in the area where the new drain pipe needed to exit our yard, while being mindful not to disturb the Nandinas. All parts of our yard were left clean and we can hardly tell where the trench was dug to lay the drain pipe. I appreciate their prompt and courteous service and attention to detail. I also appreciate that Mike honored an Angie's List coupon. I plan to use Mike's company again for future yard improvements."

Wall Repair questions, answered by experts

Generally, a railroad tie retaining wall consisting of a single line of ties should be between 3 and 4 feet tall—and the height often tops out at around 6 feet. You can go taller, but you may need additional footings and reinforcements, including a second layer of railroad ties to support the added weight of the soil it’s holding back.

Options include concrete, stone, brick, and wood, tailored for specific design needs.

Costs depend on material type, labor rates, and additional features like decorative finishes or reinforcement.

Proper design and construction prevent erosion and add structural stability to landscapes.

The lifespan of a retaining wall varies based on its material, installation quality, maintenance, and local climate, with an average range of 20 to 100 years. Retaining walls made from durable materials like concrete, stone, and brick generally last a minimum of 50 years. Concrete walls typically last between 50 and 100 years, while brick can last for over a century in ideal conditions. Timber retaining walls can last from 20 to 40 years, depending on the wood quality, and pressure-treated wood walls average around 30 years. It is important to note that a retaining wall can fail prematurely if it was poorly constructed, for example, with inefficient footings or without necessary rebar reinforcements.
