""William Santos, owner of Final House LLC, and his crew did amazing work! William took the time to understand our goal and needs of the multiple projects we needed done. We were out of state needing our new home remodeled and William gave us a detailed quote, communicated weekly and many times daily on the progress, as well as whenever a problem arose. He was able to handle every bump in the road and always gave us 2-3 options to fix the unexpected issue. The customer service he provided reassured us that our new home was in good hands. We will absolutely use Final House LLC for all future projects. There wasn't anything he and his team couldn't complete."

"Daniel, Casey, Roger and Sam did an excellent job of pressure washing my house, gutters and driveway. I have used this company on several occasions and keep coming back to them because they do a terrific job and I couldn't be happier with their services. I used other services before I found this company and my house never looked as clean with those companies. Guys were very professional, showed up on time and worked diligently until everything was as clean as possible"

"Raymond, Jamie and Mitch brought in a horizontal drilling team and replaced the blown out galvanized main water feed from the street meter to the house in 8 hours. 80' of new poly 1" water line all the way into the basement with zero impact to our landscape (see photo). Kudos to the drilling team who tunneled under an old dogwood tree, under a concrete sidewalk and dropped the line right on the mark at the exact depth. If you want the best, call GForce."

"Iâ m very impressed with the customer service from Donnie & his team! They were prompt, efficient, & worked hard to achieve the promised goal! My room addition required me to have a new 2-tank with pump system. With this large, 2- day job, I was nervous about down time, but it was a very brief, maybe less than 30 minutes. What put my mind at ease: when I asked the county environmental inspector if she was familiar with this company because this is my first choice, & they said yes & granted my requested permit with confidence. All went as expected & inspector was pleased & all works great! I highly recommend them!"

"Estimate was provided promptly and job started as scheduled, after permitting for some weather delays at other jobs on the schedule prior to ours. Old, overgrown landscape was removed from around our entire house and a berm in the back yard. Complete new landscape was installed, including paving stones, a drainage field/walkway, new plants and grass, and mulch with both wood chips and pine straw. Overall, we are pleased with our new landscape. It's been about 9 months since the installation, and Michaelangelo's did do a handful of warranty plant replacements late last year. This spring, we've lost another two plants, but elected not to ask for warranty work given the Coronavirus outbreak. Note that I gave a "B" as the overall rating solely because I felt that the team was under-supervised during installation of the new landscape. No one came to my door and introduced themselves as a contact for the job, and I stayed inside with blinds closed tight to keep my dog from wigging out. Two different areas of grass were removed when they shouldn't have been, plus ivy that was to remain on one side of my berm was removed. Michaelangelo's replanted the grass, but I had to water two additional areas that I hadn't planned on - and I don't have a sprinkler system, so every day of extra watering was a hands-on effort to drag hoses and sprinklers to the necessary areas. The removed ivy means an additional area of mulch. Again, they provided it, but it will be on me to replenish it over time. I am satisfied with their work and would hire Michaelangelo's again, but the installation experience didn't make a 5-star ("A") for me."

"Quick estimate and fast work. Was very professional from start to finish. High quality work at an affordable price. Highly recommend Philip. This was a mess I dealt with for years and had contacted numerous folks for help. People don't show up, get overwhelmed and don't call back with an estimate or try to rip off a single female. Philip was amazing and I'm so thankful to have found him. Update: Most of the work was done as per the contract minus a few little things that I questioned but decided to let go....such as the top of the retaining wall having a thick layer of dirt so plant things....and it was mulched instead. The mulch was thin and a few inches of digging you run into the concrete blocks and aren't able to plant much at all. I've had about half of the plants die that we tried to plant. I began having issues with the work soon thereafter it was completed. Water was still a major issue and his solutions did not work. I contacted him several times asking for repairs to be made on pipes that are coming out of the ground that were supposed to be buried. He has made two unannounced trips to my house which has a locked privacy fence so he couldn't properly evaluate or fix anything. He tried to get the Metro Parks to fix some issues he found which I had previous stated the Parks were not willing to fix and knew about. I thanked him for visiting but asked for help from HIM on his part. He stated that he was still thinking about how to fix the problem. It's been over a year and nothing has been fixed. He has never scheduled a time to come look at the yard or do work. I continue to have a messy muddy backyard. He has a two year warranty on his work but it's not being held up. He made a few emails and phone calls to apologize. I asked him to please give me some money back if he didn't know how to fix this like he thought he could and he has not replied. I think over a year is unreasonable and I have been more than patient. Some of the work is still fine, the gutters and drain spouts are good. The retaining wall itself is well made. The beginning to the end of the project was fine. It's just getting him to do the work on the 2 year warranty for things that aren't working or are coming apart. I believe he may have more than he can handle or perhaps doesn't know how to fix it but isn't willing to give any money back to find someone to fix it."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

If you or your mortgage lender think your land survey needs to be more accurate, double-check the survey report and get at least a second opinion from the original surveyor and an inspector, if possible. Although it’s unlikely, even reputable surveying companies can make mistakes. An inaccurate survey can cause problems down the road in the case of any property line disputes, so it’s best to resolve any inaccuracies as quickly as possible.

Soil testers and licensed excavators are often the professionals you hire if you need a perc test. In some cases, structural engineers will also be able to conduct the test for you. In many municipalities, you’ll need your professional on-site to dig and fill the holes with water, as well as a representative from your local building department or health department. That representative is the individual who will determine whether your test passes or fails.

Depending on the type of land survey, the report will mark the boundaries of your property, the topographical changes of the landscape, as well as major natural and added structures to the plot. A more detailed survey, like an as-built survey, will note the measurements of the structures and landscape following major construction. A topographic survey will also help your contractor determine the cost of land development projects.

A boundary survey measures the boundary lines of the property, only the length of each property line and their locations. A land survey includes a more in-depth measurement of the property, including the heights and depths of the terrain measured by a topographic survey. A boundary survey is typically the most cost-effective method for marking and measuring property lines.

With proper training and experience, reading blueprints is fairly straightforward and not very difficult. If you don’t have the necessary knowledge to interpret the symbols, abbreviations, and other notations used, blueprints may not make sense. Learning to read blueprints can help you understand the construction process and keep you more involved and informed when you’re building a house.
