Drainage was completed on time but landscape was left in poor condition requiring me to try to re-seed and fertilize my front lawn to cover up the parts that were unearthed. Cost me more expenses. Called to explain dissatisfaction but to return calls. Lawn service request was ignored. Calls were not returned. Upon several attempts, spoke with Luis who agreed to cut lawn. Day of service arrived and no one came. No calls and no follow up. Lied about ability to complete services and made up excuses for not answering any calls. Will definitely not rehire or consider referring to anyone else. Poor professionalism and courtesy. Not worth the hassle of working with.

Very well. Felipe takes great care in the work that he does. This is the 2nd job he has done for us and both times he has treated our yard as if it were his own. We will hire him again for the next landscaping job next year.

I recently hired Ortiz Landscaping to install a drainage pipe on my property to move excess water away from my house. I worked with Luis Ortiz – explained what I was trying to accomplish, specified the type of pipe I wanted installed (multiple times), asked him if he thought my idea would help my drainage problem or did he have a better solution to my problem, etc. He thought my solution was sound and we agreed to proceed with the project. A couple of days after the installation, had a good rain so I went to the end of the pipe to see the results, and was shocked to find that the incorrect type of pipe had been installed, negating the purpose of the whole project. I contacted Luis immediately and left a voicemail telling him there was a problem with the installation and asked him to call me to talk about it… I received no response. I’ve called Luis many times over the last 7 weeks, left voicemails, talked to the brother, and have still had no response from Luis or other employees. It was a small project… I’m sure the amount I paid them was a mere pittance to Ortiz, but it was a meaningful amount to me. The project was a failure and I lost my money. Ortiz Landscaping does not honor their commitments nor do they care about customer satisfaction. This was not a positive experience… Buyer beware!

I was extremely pleased with the work that was performed at my home. Ortiz was professional, timely and responsive. I had a old drainage system replaced around my home and two retaining walls built as a precaution to soil erosion. I will hire him for all my landscaping needs.

He came by on Friday to look at the job, very personable and friendly. The price quoted was much lower than a previous price I had gotten a few years before. I told him to go ahead and he had an opening to do it the next day on Saturday. They showed up at the time they said and immediately got to work. I am sure for them this was a small job, it was a 25 foot wall about 3 feet high. I never expected it to be finished the same day! My wife and I are both thrilled with the end result, their workmanship is very good and the finished wall looks great. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Job went excellent - Felipe and his team were able to get the job done quickly and very professionally - they did an amazing job and even went above and beyond my expectations! highly recommend felipe!

Work was performed very fast, four days on site.  first day demo and removal of bad wood, Second fixing wall, adding draining; third finalizing wall and replacing top rail.  Final day was creating a dry rock bed to divert water away from outdoor living space.  Filipe came back and walked through the steps.  He showed me what was changed and which areas he fixed.  Easy to work with, fast.
I'd consider him for other work.

Despite heavy rains, Felipe and his team were able to completely renovate a large, hilly backyard space in about ten days.  They worked in the rain, cleaning out the downspouts and installing new drain pipes.  They completely cleared my yard, pulled out the old cement patio and bricks and overgrowth and installed a large stone patio that is beautiful.  I was surprised at how quickly and thoroughly they worked.  While it was a little over the budget that I had planned, there was a lot of labor intensive work, such as creating a stone rimmed flower bed that extended about six feet due to the slope of the yard.  I would highly recommend them if you need a lot of work completed in a short amount of time for a decent price with great stone work!

The work was performed on schedule. The work involved removing the existing wall and replacing it with pressure treated timbers. Read up on retaining walls and Mr. Ortiz use standard construction methods. They took time preparing the footing and installing deadmen. Very happy with the results.

We are very happy with the work.  The men worked hard over two days and did exactly what we asked for and what was proposed on the work estimate. They were very nice to work with and the quality of work is great.  Felipe really knows his stuff and can be a "one-stop-shop" for landscaping. In addition to actually performing the manual labor,  he had lots of helpful ideas for us, from grass and grading, to stonework and wood work and plantings.  Only one word of warning for sticklers to punctuality, they arrived a bit later than expected both days.  It didn't bother me too much, as I had arranged to work from home both days, but for anyone on a tight schedule, you might want to address this with them up front.  Personally, I would use them again!  Thanks for all your help, Felipe!

Mr. Ortiz completed our landscape in June 2014. He has followed through by checking on all phases of our landscape. Some plants needed replacing, which was done promptly as the growing season required. We will continue to us Ortiz Landscaping !

As always, Mr. Ortiz and his crew did an EXCELLENT job.  Their workmanship and professionalism are outstanding.  Mr. Ortiz arrives on time and neither he nor his crew ever take a break.  They work hard from the minute they arrive until the minute they leave for the day and never leave a mess.  At the end of the job, you would never know there had been anyone working on your property.  Everything is left in pristine condition.  Even after removing the large tree from the backyard, there was no evidence that any work had been done.  Everything had been cleaned up perfectly.  
Mr. Ortiz helps with planning and figuring out how to best match the existing landscaping materials (brick, plants, etc.).  His craftsmanship is outstanding and he's worth waiting for when you want a job done well.  I highly recommend Mr. Ortiz for any landscaping needs.

We were very pleased with the outcome of the project.  Mr. Ortiz was fussy about the quality of the work and the results were exactly what we expected.  The project was completed with a minimum of disruption. We also thought the fees were reasonable.  We'd happily recommend his services.

They did a good job. They did it when they said they were going to do it and we have not had anything to go wrong with it.

Once Felipe Ortiz came out he listened to our backyard problems walked the property and suggested some things we could do.  We gave him our budget and he adjusted the plan and gave us a quote.  We said yes and he started work in one week.  He came each week day (10 days) and work until everything was correct.  We are very happy with the results and would use his services again.

This is a major update from my earlier review last summer.  I admit that I had called him in the middle of the summer and he was very busy and repeatedly missed appointments.  Well I will now say that it was worth the wait.  They did a very nice job, my front yard was a mess with stumps and it had a weird berm of nice dirt across it.  I also had to cut down a really big Oak tree a couple of years ago and paid to have the stump ground but was left with a giant pile of wood chips.  There were some scattered large landscape boulders also.
Felipe came up with a basic plan to level the yard and put in sod.  At his suggestion and it was a very good one we put a drain next to the driveway where the water collects and tied it into the gutter downspout nearby so we could finally get rid of that soft wet spot next to the driveway.  We then added downspout underground drains in two more places on the left side of the house. 
Turned out the the stump from my large Oak tree needed to be ground more and while the stump grinder was there he took out a couple more in the back yard and Felipe was able to take a lot of the extra dirt from the front and use it in the back to cover up this area.
He really wanted me to install two more other underground drains which were an extra cost and he was right.  He just wouldn't let me not do it correctly and I am glad that he insisted.  It wasn't about the extra cost, he just knew it was the right thing to do.
He took those landscape boulders and built a nice feature around some trees on the right side of the house and back filled them with dirt from the front.  They cleared a lot of ugly brush and filled those areas with pine straw.
This guy also has very nice equipment and his own dump truck.  Other companies immediately told me I had to pay extra for a dumpster at additional cost.  Filipe took away the extra brush and re-purposed the extra dirt in the far back yard.  No reason to throw away that good soil.
 
Update: One of the drains from the house became visible because if slight soil erosion.  These drains end at the edge of my yard and the plastic was turned up a bit so water was collecting in the drain and also they yard is far from flat it is very bumpy.  The main drain next to my driveway was blocked by grass.  I contacted Felipe and they came to check it out.  They dug around the main drain and put some concrete around it up to the driveway which really helped that problem and fixed the ends where water was collecting.  They buried the drain that was showing but the only real problem I have is that they yard is very bumpy.  They threw down some sand to fill the low spots but I just think it was not level before the sod was laid and this could have been done much better.  So overall they did a lot of work but the lasting result is a bumpy yard.  I also got on board with King Green and have had the yard sprayed two times this fall so I hope it looks better in the spring.  I will update this review then.

UPDATE: It has been two years now, and my yard is very bumpy and a drain is showing, I have tried calling and he will not respond back to me.
