"Worth Every Dollar Appraisal Services (Helen Ahmed) was great to work with! She is experienced, knows the real estate market very well and is a pleasure to work with. Her quick turnaround, level of knowledge and reasonable pricing are greatly appreciated. Helen was prompt in her delivery of my appraisal. I had a unique situation and she was willing to work with me to make it happen. I am so pleased with the expertise and services offered by Helen that I have referred her to friends and colleagues to use for current market analysis on their properties in the future. I highly recommend Worth Every Dollar Appraisals! Tommie Arnold, Jr."

"Jeff Belk is an excellent, experienced appraiser who did a great job, arrived on time, did a thorough appraisal, and spent time explaining the appraisal and how to determine the best listing price for my townhouse. I was able to sell it for more than the appraisal amount due to Jeffâ s help. He really went above and beyond to answer all my questions about how the process works and was patient and informative. I learned a lot of valuable information about pricing and listing a home and it paid off in a great sales price for my home. I would highly recommend him and use his services again!"

"I can't say enough about Mike Powers and Power Appraisal Inc. He helped me through a jam that I believed was hopeless. My brother and I were informed late in 2023 that we had four properties requiring appraisals before the end of the year. I contacted several places and received no response, or was told that the four appraisals could not be completed before the end of the year. Then Mike, at Power Appraisals, emailed me, and I called him soon after. I was expecting the same response I received from the others, considering it was peak holiday season, and there were four properties in two different counties, in the mountains, that needed to be appraised. Fortunate for us, Mike didn't flinch. He assured me he could complete the task by Dec. 31. A few days later, I was thrown a curve ball. My financial team made me aware that they would be leaving the office around noon, Dec. 29, for the remainder of the year, making the deadline two days earlier than what I had originally told Mike. Making it worse was the fact that I was traveling, and emailing documents, and texting and calling from airports, trains, and ride shares. As frazzled as I was, Mike was as calm, which was impressive because it was peak holiday season, and Mike has family of his own to tend to. I'm happy to say, Mike provided me everything I needed by Friday morning, December 29. My financial team, as well as my brother and I, were able to breathe a big sigh of relief. I apologize for the long-winded story, but when a business performs as impressively as Power Appraisal Inc., it's worth the extra words to express gratitude, and to shout from the rooftops, the strongest endorsement possible. Thank you, Mike!!"

"The appraiser was very kind and personable at a difficult time in my life. I was getting ready to sell my recently departed mothers home. I was there from another state and he took that into consideration, moving up the initial date of his inspection and providing me with a number quickly so that I could go ahead and meet with a realtor before having to leave the area."

Land doesn’t depreciate in the same way that a house, vehicle, or other property does, but it can lose value based on various factors. Environmental changes, nearby development, zoning changes, and economic downturns can all cause land to lose value over time. Value is a comparative figure, so as other related factors change, so can land’s value.

Mobile homes weigh anywhere between 45 to 50 pounds per square foot. Some newer options weigh up to 70 pounds per square foot. An average single-wide mobile home weighs 45,000 pounds, and a double-wide mobile home weighs about 70,000 pounds. Triple-wide mobile homes range from 90,000 to 100,000 pounds.

Typically during transactions or refinancing, or whenever significant improvements are made.

In most cases, installing a tennis court on your property will drive up your property taxes. Property taxes are determined, in part, based on improvements made to your property, which includes anything with a permanent foundation. Since most home tennis courts include a large concrete foundation, your property taxes will likely increase following the installation. A general rule of thumb is that if your project requires permits—like for a foundation or fencing for a tennis court—then your property taxes will be affected.

Ensure the property is clean, provide access to all areas, and supply relevant documents, such as recent upgrades or tax records.
