"We had to repair some vinyl flooring for our 3 year old home. The vinyl was no longer made and we tried it ourselves. Emily and her partner Burak came out and told us about the one we had attempted to replace was incorrectly selected. She went out and found the pieces which were no longer made and came out to repair our floors. We are renting our home out and they did an amazing job. We are so grateful for them and they are so professional. Please use them if you need anything done to your home: they are very very professional and timely."

"The husband and wife team arrived exactly when they said they would. They scraped the entire 3-car garage and workshop ceiling and portions of walls to remove failing sheetrock tape, sanded, painted and cleaned up all in one day. They were very quiet and worked continously. I was VERY pleased with their work and feel their price was fair. I appreciate that they had to travel quite a distance to my home."

"I was extremely impressed with the professionalism, timeliness, and quality of this company. In addition they were fairly priced! They helped me with several projects on short notice and in a short span of time. Assessed and repaired some water damage behind a wall in my living room, removed wallpaper in two bathrooms, painted, removed an old 1960â s intercom system and repaired the large 12â x12â holes, framed and mounted a very large and heavy 3.5â x5.5â mirror, and repaired old slate front porch tiles. This team was flexible, accommodating, considerate, and hard working. They even made certain to clean everything upon departure. I will definitely be using Maintenance Pros for future projects and would absolutely recommend them to others!"

"Mount Valley is the epitomy of an honest, fair, reliable, efficient, professional, and customer service oriented company. Our coordinator, Ryan McAlister, was extremely knowledgeable and informative during inspection of our crawl space water issues, and his subsequent repair recommendations. Ryan was like a professor explaining retrofitting encapsulation of the crawl space and basement water issues with a slab, along with discussing such encapsulation during a new build vs. standard floor insulation in a crawl space in a climate above 60% humidity. Fascinating and educational discussion for me as an homeowner with very limited knowledge of the subject. Ryan was patient and is truly an expert. He also provided additional advice on other ground water issues and recommendations for us as homeowners to try, outside the crawl space, in order to save us money. His crew was extraordinarily hard working and diligent, personable and friendly. They did a great job in every detail relative to trench digging, gravel, wrapping, wall insulation, sump pump, dehumidifier, and drainage. Very well done and much appreciated professionalism and expertise. Very impressed with the coordinated team work demonstrated by the whole crew, Damian (foreman), Mac, and David. Very impressive young men. My wife wanted to adopt them and Ryan upon completion of the project, which was done in grueling heat, humidity, and wet conditions. Job well done. Great company. Wall Repair FAQs, answered by experts

Yes, to build a retaining wall, a permit is required. Similarly, any repairs or modifications to an existing retaining wall require permits. If the planned wall measures higher than 4 feet, most municipalities require designs and permits come through a licensed engineer. In some locations, if the wall is shorter than 4 feet, a permit may not be required. For the requirements in your area, contact your local government.

Each design is different, so we can’t say definitively if you’ll need a dedicated drainage system in place for a two-foot retaining wall. However, you can likely skip the drainage, as this project is typically served for walls that are 4 feet tall or more. Even with a relatively low wall, consider drainage if you are building on top of clay or poor-draining soil types or if there are buried water sources nearby, like a well used for other outdoor garden projects.

Costs depend on material type, labor rates, and additional features like decorative finishes or reinforcement.

There are contractors specifically trained in the design and construction of retaining walls. Retaining wall contractors are skilled at dealing with the soil on your property and assessing what kind of drainage should be installed. They will recommend the best materials to use for the project and can handle the processing of permits by local authorities.

Rebar is a steel support that goes inside concrete to prevent structural damage over time. Concrete is susceptible to impact, weight, and tension. By inserting rebar into the concrete during the installation, you can help extend its lifespan and avoid hazardous situations where the foundation of your home gives way to tensile forces.
