"Idream builders installed Hardie board to my rental quick. From the time I hired them they finished in less then a week. The job was excellent. I would use them again for my other house. They were the 3rd company I hired to install the siding. The other 2 companies never showed up. Marcos was on time and finished quick."

"Sabastain at US Roofing did an outstanding job replacing our roof. It turned out just as he described. He was very professional, finished the job on time and even came back to change out some shingles that were slightly discolored after he had been paid for the Job. He had us sign a contract which clearly stated the terms and deposit. I would wholeheartedly recommend his team to anyone needing a new roof or repairs."

"Mr. Dixon responded right away and came out the next day to investigate the problem. He identified the problem, and came back to repair it within 2 days. He was very knowledgeable and personable, and charged a fair price for his services. I recommend Mr. Dixon wholeheartedly."

Siding questions, answered by experts

Augusta homeowners often overlook local permit requirements or historic district guidelines, leading to project delays. Choosing siding materials that aren’t suited for GA’s humidity or termite activity can cause long-term issues. Failing to install moisture barriers or ignoring proper ventilation are frequent errors. Hiring contractors unfamiliar with Augusta’s climate or skipping written agreements can also result in poor workmanship or voided warranties.

Helpful?

Before starting a siding project in Augusta, verify your contractor’s experience with local climate challenges and check for proper licensing. Secure all necessary permits and review neighborhood or HOA restrictions to prevent compliance issues. Schedule work outside peak storm or pollen seasons, and confirm utilities are marked before any digging. Review your insurance policy and prepare for possible repairs, especially in older homes.

Helpful?

In Augusta, be cautious of siding contractors who lack a local presence, offer vague or incomplete estimates, or avoid written agreements. Watch for missing details about siding materials, warranties, or cleanup plans. Contractors unfamiliar with Augusta’s humidity, termite risks, or building codes are a concern. If a quote omits moisture barrier installation or references only cash payments, consider it a warning sign.

Helpful?

In Augusta, homes with warped, rotting, or moldy siding—often caused by high humidity and frequent storms—are strong candidates for new siding. Noticeable drafts, rising energy bills, or visible cracks and gaps in your home’s exterior signal it’s time to upgrade. If your house is brick, check additions or upper floors for weathering, as these areas may need extra exterior protection.

Helpful?

Augusta’s proximity to the Savannah River increases humidity and flood risk, so select siding materials that resist moisture and mold. Shifting clay soil can stress siding, while heavy pine pollen can impact installation and paint adhesion. Always review HOA guidelines, tree ordinances, and utility line locations, and consider how storm seasons or property insurance requirements may affect your siding project timeline.
