"First off, its nice to meet quality young men who are professional and enjoy their job.  They were very easy to talk to and provided suggestions and advice when asked.  I purchased a $199 coupon for 8 hrs and received way more in return.  These gentlemen were fantastic!!!  The job started out as a power washing job of my dad's soffits, trim and windows on his house and workshop and that went so well I asked them to quote doing the drive and sidewalk.  I had told Jesse we were on a strict budget and he worked with us since they were already there and so after the house they pulled out the concrete machine and started up.  About halfway done the hose nipple broke on the machine and the day was done.  As soon as the machine was fixed they returned to finish the job.  In the mean time there was some trim on the side of the shop that was wwwwwaaaayyyyy up high and I asked what it would cost to have him paint it.  What a deal!  I'm over wt and don't bounce anymore, so I was glad to let a young whipper snapper do it and he did a great job.
Now comes the true sign of character.  When they returned to finish the drive Jesse had his boss with him and we were talking when I mentioned that the night before someone had come up on the front stoop and stolen my dad's 3 ft high concrete duck which he and his recently deceased wife purchased together and would decorate for the holidays and how it had upset my dad.  We talked about it and they then proceeded to finish the concrete and paint the trim and were done for the day.  A couple of days later I was painting and had stepped down to change the position of the ladder when I see Jesse come walking around the corner followed by Rob, his boss with a box.   In the box was a duck with outfits.  He told me that he went in to bid a job and the owner had this duck sitting on the table which had little outfits and he knew he was to bring it to my dad.  I tried to pay him for it, but he would not accept.  My dad was so surprised he was speechless.  Later I would find him decorating that cute little duck.  So in short, these guys did a great job for a great price and made an old man very happy.  Thank you guys.   I would recommend this crew for anything because if what they did for us is any indication of their other work you can't go wrong."

"Job went great, Joe and Mike prepped rooms with plastic coverings and taped floors and walls off where necessary to keep over spray off everything. All cabinet doors and hinges removed and holes filled in and sanded prior to spraying. New doors, hinges, and drawers with soft close hinges installed and look amazing! Crew was awesome and would highly recommend."

"Contracted Richard on a Saturday afternoon, and he was on another job but came over at 7:30ish pm to go over the job and the scope of work needed.  Our home has structural damage, that was beyond our ability which is why we called in a professional. Richard came, spent an hour with us going over details on how he would repair the damage.  Richard was very friendly, went out of his way to come and appraise the job on short notice.

 Now the problem:  INSURANCE:
During the discussion, he was asked if he had insurance, and he stated that he did, but did not have any worker's comp but would be willing to sign a hold harmless waiver.  Based on this information, we scheduled the work to be done on Monday, May 9th, 2016.   On the day he was to start the repairs, I asked him to provide a copy of his insurance.  At this point, he stated he didn't have a copy, so I asked to verify with his insurance agent.  He said he had to call, then called me back stating that his insurance didn't cover the scope of work we were contracting him to have done.  He is according to him, insured to do painting but not spray painting, windows, and carpet.  We cancelled the job and I felt this whole experience with him was a waste of not only his time but ours as well.  The scope of his insurance should have been disclosed up front, prior to him agreeing to do the work.

Window Shutters questions, answered by experts

Plantation shutters cost an average of $2,990, making them one of the pricier shutter options. However, they offer a 75% return on your investment and are great options for boosting curb appeal and property value. Most people go for plantation shutters for their timeless, vintage look. They also provide the strongest light blocking and temperature control for your home.

Not all windows are suitable for shutters, as certain styles can prevent them from functioning correctly. It's best to avoid installing shutters on bay windows, picture windows, dormer windows, and double-mulled windows. Shutters are better suited for large, full-size standard windows or French doors.

Additionally, consider the room's lighting needs. Since shutters effectively block light, they are an excellent choice for rooms where you want more darkness and privacy, such as a master bedroom or a main living room. For window types that are not ideal for functional shutters, some homeowners choose to install fixed (non-functional) shutters to maintain a consistent look across the home.

The most popular estate shutter brands include Hunter Douglas, Budget Blinds®, and Graber®. Hunter Douglas shutters cost $20 to $26 per square foot and include high-quality hardwood and faux wood options. Budget Blinds shutters cost $20 to $24 per square foot, depending on if you choose natural wood or another material. Depending on the material, Graber shutters range from $18 to $24 per square foot.

Shutters are still very common in Southern, farmhouse, and traditional-style homes, especially those in warm climates who can benefit from the increased efficiency. While modern homes and designs tend to shy away from shutters, shutters are a timeless design style that will likely be around for decades to come.

Estate shutters offer more energy efficiency, privacy, and light control than blinds. They provide better insulation against heat and cold, lowering your energy bills. They’re also sturdy, durable, and last much longer than blinds (up to 50 years or longer). They’re also low-maintenance and can add curb appeal to your home. The return on investment (ROI) for estate shutters is around 75%.
