"I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of service provided by Amazon Cleaners. Although I was originally quoted for a three person cleaning for my initial deep cleaning service the job was completed very thoroughly. I am not a very trusting person so I hired them for the initial cleaning for a time I could be in and out while they were in my home. They dusted all of my lamp shades, light bulbs and air vents. They scrubbed my wood doors with tooth brushes. They soaked my mini blinds and cleaned them completely. My stove has not looked so clean since I first bought it. I cannot say enough of the service they provided. My home was top to bottom clean. If I was to say anything negative it would be that they did not have enough man power to complete the job in a timely manner and seemed to be rushing towards the end through the kitchen which needed a bit of attention. Sadly my home was dirty with two kids, three dogs and two cats in and out on a small farm. They had their work cut out for them. Even though it got late they finished the house. They left my young children's rooms dusted with their beds made with a personal touch of a butterfly made from my daughters baby blankets. They were extremely detailed and I will for sure be hiring them again to maintain the cleanliness of my home.... If my kids want to write them notes then I am sold! They are hard working and very detail oriented. This was my first Angies List try and I am sold.

"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

Boiler Repair questions, answered by experts

Most repairs take 2-6 hours, but extensive repairs or part replacements may require a full day or more, depending on availability.

You can save money on heating oil through a combination of improving home efficiency and smart purchasing strategies.

Home Efficiency and Usage:

  • Improve Insulation: Ensure your home, especially the basement and attic, is well-insulated and sealed against drafts to prevent heat leakage.

  • Manage Your Thermostat: Use a properly calibrated and programmable thermostat. Lower the temperature by a few degrees, particularly when you are away from home or asleep.

Purchasing Strategies:

  • Buy in the Off-Season: Order heating oil during the summer months when prices are generally at their lowest. This strategy is most effective if you have a large primary tank or a separate storage tank to accommodate bulk deliveries.

  • Consider a Delivery Contract: Some companies offer contracts with a set price for the term. This can lead to savings if market prices for oil increase, but you might pay more if prices drop.

Most HVAC companies charge a flat service call fee of between $75 and $150, which includes traveling to your home and inspecting your system to find the underlying problem. Keep in mind that these prices only include diagnostics and the actual repairs will usually be billed separately. If you’re calling for routine service, the service call will be included in your inspection and tune-up, with the total sitting around $150. Your prices could be a little higher if you have a very large home with multiple condensers and air handlers, as inspections and servicing take longer.

A furnace is a big unit where gas, heating oil, or electricity heats the air. The warmed air is then pushed back out through ducts and vents.

A boiler uses electricity, heating oil, or gas to heat water that is pushed into the room through a radiator. This is one of the oldest and most effective ways to heat a house, but radiators can also be unsightly and leave hot and cold spots in the room.

Heat pumps use a refrigerant to move heat from outside into the house and return it to the room through ducts and vents.

In most cases, you should hire a professional to carry out services on your HVAC system, as the components are complicated, expensive, and potentially dangerous to work with. However, there are a few things you can do on your own to keep your HVAC system in good condition, including changing your filters every three months, keeping the area around your outdoor condenser clear of debris and plant growth, making sure your or intakes aren’t blocked, and keeping an eye out for increased energy bills, strange noises, and unusual odors related to your equipment.
