"I can’t stop admiring my beautiful ceilings!!! Sergio the popcorn ceiling remover and Sergio the ceiling painter did an excellent job smoothing my ceilings and painting them. Prompt, knowledgeable, courteous, accommodating—I have no complaints, only compliments for their hard work and skill for this extremely messy project. I do plan to hire them in the near future to remove the popcorn ceilings on the second story of my home. Very satisfied from start to finish. Would highly recommend!"

Customers say: Quality work

"Matthew James and his crew did an excellent job repairing some ceiling drywall in our garage. It had broken loose and jammed the door opener trapping our SUV inside the garage. They arrived one day after being awarded the job and the ceiling was fixed before days end. They even repaired other loose drywall and a water damaged spot and resprayed the popcorn finish."

Customers say: Quick response

"I had a ceiling drywall repair project for a patch in my kitchen, and Sean from Home Pride came by and made it like new. Great attitude and work ethic. Also made sure to cover areas with plastic to ensure texturing compound and paint didn’t get all over the kitchen. Good value for the work. Owner Lance provided great customer service too. Would hire again."

"Jimmy and his team did a phenomenal job on our very large project. They removed and replaced drywall, removed wall paper, painted the entire interior of our home and painted the pool deck - most of which required 3 coats. They even built a new facade for the fireplace and removed a platform bed. The job took about 2 weeks. Their work is meticulous - not a drop of paint out of place. They work extremely hard - arrive at 8am 6 days a week and work a full day. And when I expanded the scope of the job to include the fireplace, Jimmy showed up on Sunday (his one day off) with his wife to get it done so he could stick to the original estimated time to complete the job. Jimmy offers advice based on his expertise and asks questions to ensure every aspect of the job is done exactly how you want it. He puts so much pride into his work and does not rest until it is perfect. Worth every penny."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

While certain types of textured walls can seem dated (looking at you, popcorn), textured walls are a common sight in both older and more modern homes. The main reason textured walls may be here to stay is that they are an excellent way to hide minor imperfections on a wall and give it a finished appearance. Some homeowners think a coat of paint on drywall is a bit industrial-looking. However, that look works perfectly in modern home design

There are a handful of reasons why your drywall anchors are breaking. Using the wrong type of anchor is the most common problem, so always make sure you’re using the best option for a particular project. That there are electrical wires or plumbing where you’ve placed an anchor or that your drywall is weak are two other possible causes.

There are several benefits to wet-sanding drywall, but the main perk is that it produces far less dust than dry-sanding. As a result, wet-sanding poses fewer health risks and makes less of a mess in your home. Plus, damp sponges are less abrasive than sandpaper, so there’s a smaller chance of scratching or damaging the drywall paper. Wet-sanding also creates a smoother finish than dry-sanding.

Yes, professionals often repair minor wall openings made for insulation injection to restore the surface.

Although they are used for similar tasks, spackle and joint compound are not the same. Joint compound, also known as drywall mud, consists of limestone and gypsum and is primarily used for large-scale projects like taping and finishing seams on new drywall. Spackle is composed of gypsum and binding agents, making it a thicker compound best suited for small wall repairs like filling nail holes or cracks, as it dries quickly and is easy to sand. For small repairs, either product can be suitable. However, you can use joint compound for small jobs in place of spackle, but you cannot use spackle for large-scale taping and mudding projects.
