Dean came out and provided an estimated price range for the job. I coordinated a date & time for the work, he called the morning of - to make sure we’re still on for the job. (Great communication) The actual work he did was nothing short of excellent! I will say that I have a high bar, and Dean is one of these guys who takes great pride in his work. I must say - the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and making sure everything was literally PERFECT was surprising. Dean provided everything I expected, plus more - and the final cost was in the middle of his estimated price range. I will definitely use this company again!

I asked for an estimate which he promptly responded to. He surveyed the house talked a lot and said would get" right "back to us. Weeks passed so I left a detailed voice mail on his business phone so as to chase up the estimate. The result- silence. I feel slightly creeped out having this guy in my house and I would wonder why he wasted my time time and his. All that would be required is a simple response stating that he was "too busy" or just give me a "sky high" estimate if he didn't want to perform the job.

"The ceilings were very high and I told them that I wasn't sure we could do the job. Then they wanted me to break it into FOUR estimates. I don't have time to give one person 4 estimates. I'm swamp with calls from my website and google with reasonable people asking for an estimate, not four! I've been in business for over 30 yrs and I learned that I don't have to work for every single person that calls me. If my gut says says NOOOOO, I follow it."

Bill and Dean did a terrific job removing my popcorn ceiling throughout my condo. It was an incredible mess but they covered everything and cleaned up very well. The light knock-down texture was perfectly applied. I would definitely recommend them !!!

I was in a panic when I found out the number of holes the electrician needed to make to run cable throughout my newly built house. The company painting the house said they could do a few patches but not the number there ended up being. Bill Livingston Drywall was recommended by my brother-in-law and when I contacted him he was able to fit me in his schedule and keep the painting contractor on his schedule. Bill and his staff were professional and timely. His rate was fair. I would use him again and would recommend his company to anyone.

These guys are great. Not the lowest price but they are very professional and tell you all the requirements of the job up front. Many other contractors low ball the price to get the job and then add "extras" later. Another contractor (who also does dry wall) was quoting another job for me. He commented on what a good job the ceilings were.

"They had someone remove the popcorn on a huge ceiling and they never skimmed the tape joints before spraying texture. All the tape came loose. We replaced the tape and skimmed the entire ceiling and textured it orange peel. They were great to work for. Thank you for giving us a great report."

Unprofessional, don't waste your time. Tried to pull the wool over my eyes with a 2 day install time for a 5x8 ceiling, when I had an entire living room, kitchen and dining room done in one day. He was quick to come out for an estimate, but when you work with an estimator and they hire out, that's two salaries your paying when one person is doing the work. He did not give me an estimate since he knew I was wise to his game playing.

"I walked out on this guy without giving him an estimate because of his behavior. I did not feel safe in his home. We do quality work. I told him two days to hang, tape and finish. He didn't tell me he wanted just the drywall hung! . It was a two day job to hang, tape and finish a bathroom ceiling correctly.. I don't cut corners. I have 141 A reviews of the ten years on Angie's list. Between myself and Dean that works for me have 60yrs experience between the two of us. We are not the fly by nights he was looking for . I'm Lic, Insured. He was looking for an unlicensed person looking for beer money.."

The motto of this company is "Let an artist do it!" and I am very happy with the job we received from Dean who was at my home for 2 days doing the job. In conjunction with getting my house painted, I needed to have the ceiling over my front walkway of my house refinished. The wallboard may have been original and there were many seam cracks and other signs of sloppy repairs by previous owner(s). It looked so bad that I assumed it was not repairable to my standards and researched many other options. I did reach out to Bill Livingston for his opinion and he told me that the ceiling was very salvageable and that they could repair it to "better than new". I'm a believer! The result was exceptional and blew me away. Additionally, my painters (who saw the before and after) were equally impressed at the transformation. I don't know how many people Bill has working for him.....but if you demand that Dean do your job, you will not be sorry. Dean loves his work, he's enormously skilled and he's a genuinely nice guy. I have some additional work that needs to be done early next year and it's Dean or nobody!

I contacted Bill and he had a crew out the same week to repair an leak in my ceiling. Gene & Terry, arrived right on time and did a FANTASTIC job repairing the ceiling. They were are true professionals and take great pride in their work. After the paint went on, you couldn't even tell there was a repair made as it was blended perfectly. Gene is a drywall artist! An added bonus, they were super nice, and a delight to chat with. If I ever need to make another drywall repair, they will be my first call!

Bill Livingston was superb, and I would highly recommend them. I hired after reviewing angies list contractors and getting a few estimates. I needed the work done while I was in a different state, and needed a contractor that I could trust to do an excellent job without me supervising. I did not see the finished job until months later when I had the house interior painted, and it was perfect. After painting the rooms looked like new (probably better than the original construction actually). I had no issues, they showed up when the promised, and finished when they promised. Excellent work.

We have used this company twice, both times they were easy to work with and have done excellent work. Dean is a master of matching drywall textures, hard to tell any work was ever done . we will definitely use them again, and we highly recommend them for drywall work.

Bill, the owner, was quick to set up a time. The job actually occurred at the time of the initial visit to the home sine apparently it was not big job. Dean, who did the job, stated he could do it now sine it was not a big deal and he was already here. Overall, glad that I said yes. In less than 2 hours, the left behind, cancerous-looking drywall along the edges of recently installed splash back was no longer. While I would have welcome Dean painting the area as well, he stated he plastered walls, he did not paint them, and smiled. Bill, the owner, visited the site just prior to Dean wrapped up the job. If you welcome Average Joe’s doing good quality work, call them. Hopefully, you will be pleased too.

Mr. Livingston came over, looked at the job, seem to have taken thorough notes, but he never sent the quote. Three phone calls were never answered. He didn't have the courtesy to return my phone calls. If he didn't want the job, he could have expressed that.

Overall, this was a great experience. Bill came out to quote the job and provided an estimate quickly. We were in a rush to get this done so we could have some furniture delivered and he was able to accommodate our schedule. His worker was on site for 2 days and did quality work.

Bill and his employee were very punctual from the free estimate along with the 2 days they worked on my projects. The work was extremely well done, well above my expectations. They were very knowledgeable and didn’t take shortcuts to save time. They textured the wall afterwards to match existing walls and popcorned the ceiling, it’s hard to tell where the repair was even made. Bill told me “I’m not the cheapest but I am the best” and I feel like I got more than my money’s worth. I would highly recommend Bill to anyone whether they need just a small hole patched or an entire room drywalled, they have the tools and experience to make it look perfect.

on time, verbal quote. looked at reviews on Angies List. charge was $700 LABOR PLUS MATERIALS EST $800. I have had drywall repair done in the past, this seems extremely high @75/hr. Price gouging? To repair 4 other holes from old security system, was going to add another $500 in labor.

This team was very professional, efficient, on time, and very attentive to detail. At the end of the project they swept and washed out my garage floor, leaving the area nicer than it was. They went beyond the call of duty and secured other areas of my ceiling that seemed loose. I will definitely call them again for ceiling & drywall projects!

I went with the other people. Well, I am a widow living alone. He was very nice, the estimate was the same as the other persons. I just didn't feel comfortable being alone in the house with a male that I didn't know. The other was a husband and wife team and I felt a little more comfortable with them. It was nothing that he did, it was just me.
