"Dennis and his crew did an excellent job, but I feel he overcharged me a bit for the chimney cap installation. The cost of installing a chimney cap in the Tampa Bay area runs from $175.00 to $250.00. Dennis charged me $250.00 to install a $40.00 chimney cap. When I asked Dennis why the installation cost was at the top of the price range, he said: There are fees associated with running the operation: shipping, consumables, labor, transportation, fuel, payroll, and the list goes on. My price is right in line with the chimney sweeps in the area. His crew certainly knew what they were doing, and I would probably use his services again. My only objection is that the cost of installing the chimney cap was at the top of the high range for that job. Dennis could have chosen to install a more expensive chimney cap for what he charged me."

They went the extra mile because it turns out that our dryer was not blowing out of the house through a vent but was just blowing up to the attic. Hunter climbed up into the attic and found the issue and made some improvements and both he and Brandon made recommendations on what could be done to fix the issue completely. "My circuit breaker on my AC kept tripping. I knew this could be bad and could overheat a compressor if I kept resetting, so I called Morris AC. This is not the first time I contacted Jim. The first time, my AC was leaking water, and he walked me over the steps on the phone on how to attempt to fix this. It worked, and Jim saved me the money of having to come over to just perform a routine cleaning. So this was a separate issue. Jim sent a very professional worker over named Russel. Russel diagnosed an issue of an outside breaker no longer being connected and not working, thus causing the main breaker to trip. He quoted me around $200 for the fix along with 2lbs of freon. He switched the outside breaker with a disconnect, and filled a pound of freon. With coupon, came to $160. Russel gave me the breaker that was no longer being used and put a cap on the freon valve that was missing. Two days later, breaker inside was still tripping. I called Jim on Saturday, and he mentioned that he only comes out on weekends if really needed. I explained I was working on the house with family members in town, and that we were dying in the heat. Jim was out in a half hour, and surmised it was a faulty internal breaker. He used the extra external breaker that was replaced by Russel with a disconnect (two days earlier) and that did the trick. No extra charge for Saturday visit or work performed that day. Even though the work done on Thursday did not fix the tripping circuit, it was work that needed to be done anyway, so I was very happy with the result of the work done. "They closed any openings in the attic. They would have caught any critters, but they put something on it so that the critters would leave and not come back in; that actually worked. They were very friendly, knew what they were talking about and got the job done. I did not do that much comparison shopping, so I don’t know if I could have gotten the job done for lesser, but their price seemed really high. When the guy came back to do something else, he got on the roof without telling me, which made me think that a burglar was in my house and nearly gave me a heart attack. I would not complain about the quality of the service, but it would have been very nice if he would have let me know before he went up on the roof. They got what I wanted done. They also ordered and installed a chimney cap for me, so that was good. I would use them again in the future if necessary."

"Everything went great! The project took about 2 weeks. The old tar/gravel roof was removed and a new metal roof was installed on 3/4 of the house. The other 1/4 required TPO since it was a completely flat area. A lot of the old wood had to be replaced due to the age and termite activity. Flashing up around the chimney is holding up great and a part of my old rainwater collection gutter system was even reinstalled on the new roof. The fascia and soffit looks great too. We've been through 5-6 rain storms already and there has been no leaks. The wood around the garage was replaced and then the whole thing was wrapped in vinyl for a clean look. Two end features on the peak of the house were wrapped as well and it made the house look very clean and neat. As for cleanup, for the most part all went well. As can be expected, a few old roofing nails were found, but not that many. A few short pieces of metal roofing and a few leftover panels were left behind as well as a bag of screws. (We made a shed with them) Overall we were very satisfied. Other roofing companies we called were quoting us $18-20K without the addition of the extra wood and the cost of the fascia/soffit or the garage repair."
