The most recent was a Leaking roof at My mothers house. As usual Erik was an absolute proffessional. My mother is elderly and I like to be there if possible when contractors come to her house as she they sometimes uncomfortable. Erik is so professional and put her totally at ease. Which I am so thankful for as I did not have to leave work to be there.Erik found the leak and fixed it on the spot himself instead of making her wait until he could send a crew out. A true working owner. Great to have the owner actually on site. He also put an aluminum roof on my uncles garage. Excellent job as well. MOST impressive of all is that Eric personally supervised the crew at the school in which I am supervisor of maintence. I was at my wits end with a leaking roof that 2 previous roofers could locate the source of. Eric identified and successfully located the source and repaired the leak. In and out in 1 1/2 hours. I WILL NEVER USE ANY OTHER ROOFING COMPANY !!!!!!!!!

I called a number of roofing companies before Thunder bay. All they did was look at the inside of the house and quote a price. Not one of them even went up on the roof to inspect. Most of them canceled more than once before showing up or showed up late.
Thunder Bay was able to meet me early before I went to work, they showed up right on time to inspect the problem. Thunder Bay immediately went up on the roof. I was concerned they might break some of the fragile clay tiles, but they knew exactly how to walk across them without damaging them. Much to my surprise I was invited me to come up on the roof and inspect along with Thunder Bay. They showed me how to walk the tiles without damaging them too. I looked over their shoulder as they inspected the entire roof and he explained where and why it was leaking. They also showed me some areas that were not done properly when the roof was redone in 2000 and were vulnerable to leaking.
Because their inspection was so thorough, I was expecting their bid would be the highest for the job. I was pleasantly surprised when I found it was actually the least expensive bid of the 4 bids I got!
In 2012, I asked Thunder Bay to bid on putting a new concrete tile roof on a new home I was building. Their bid was competitive, but was about three thousand dollars more than another reputable roofer's, so I did not go with Thunder Bay. What a mistake that was! The roofer I chose created nothing but problems. His crew didnt speak any English. They were unspervised. They took out part of the roof to put the "peel and stick" waterproofing membane down because they didnt have a long enough ladder with them. They left material on the roof that blew off and damaged the neighbors property. They did a bad job putting down peel and stick on. I had to complain to the owner several times. He ultimately did come out and address the issues, but their performance really eroded my confidence in them. Now I have a lot of anxiety that my new expensive home will have roof leaks in a few short years. In hindsight I wish I had spent a few dollars more to have the piece of mind of Thunder Bay's quality.
