In 2012, The Solar Guys acquired exclusive marketing rights for the sale and installation of Huper Optik window film in Marion, Lake, and Sumter counties. In 2014 The Solar Guys started our insulation division initially offering water heater wraps and garage door insulation. This quickly grew to whole house radiant barrier and blown-in attic insulation. In 2015 Chris Teel acquired minority ownership once again reaffirming our belief of keeping the “family” in family business. Chris currently qualifies The Solar Guys with a Florida Certified Building Contractor License (CBC1260615), Certified Roofing Contractor License (CCC1330841), & Certified Solar License (CVC57042). In November 2015 The Solar Guy Our territory includes Alachua, Marion, Citrus, as well as Lake and Sumter counties. In May 2010 The Solar Guys acquired the Orlando market as part of our service area.
