"Robert and the Florida Tinting team did an excellent job installing the tinting on my house windows. The 3 person team worked like a well-oiled machine in the way they prepped and completed the work on my windows. They were very thorough in explaining how/why they installed the film the way they did. I would definitely hire Florida Tinting Inc again for any window tinting work I needed to have done. David C. "The call to my insurance company was very simple and only took about 10 minutes. The technician who installed my glass was very professional and friendly. They came to replace my windshield at my work that way I did not have to be inconvenienced. I recommend Family Auto Glass to anyone who needs a windshield replaced."

"Alex came to the house when scheduled and took the measurements himself. Did not rely on my measurements over the phone which is good. He did the job on time, kept the work area neat and clean and was very professional. He was also good with my animals! I would definitly recommend this company to anyone needed window tinting."

"I hired Reese Windows and Doors to replace 11 windows and 2 doors on my 62 year old home in Cape Coral. They did this in one day and I could not be happier. The three gentlemen they sent were polite and accommodating but far more important they knew exactly what they were doing. The work was done neatly and very professionally. Their window are beautiful, easy to use and guaranteed for life. I do not need to do any paint touch up outside or inside. All debris from the work was completely removed. Their supervisor also contacted me to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. An excellent excellent company to do business with. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They did it quickly and they did it to my satisfaction and I am not the easiest person to satisfy when my money is being spent. I would strongly recommend them to provide new windows and doors."

Window Tinting questions, answered by experts

The most popular treatment for a skylight is skylight shades. There are five primary types: manual, motorized, blackout, cellular//honeycomb, and Venetian. Motorized skylight shades are the most convenient, especially for skylights that are higher up, but manual shades are the most cost-effective treatments. Cellular/honeycomb shades are a perfect option for anyone who wants energy efficiency and an attractive look.

A common way to modernize arched windows is to install interior window treatments that allow light through the curved portion up to and let you cover the bottom portion for privacy. You can also install plantation shutters to make an arched window look more modern. From the exterior, arched windows can appear outdated if they’re coupled with ornate trim, so toning down the decor can make your window look more natural with a modern design.

You can easily and cheaply use tin foil or cardboard to black out your windows. Save a pretty penny by cutting either material to the size of your windows and taping it to the window. This is one of the easiest and most budget-friendly blackout solutions, but it definitely isn’t the most aesthetically friendly.

Energy-efficient windows are judged on their performance according to a few different factors, including heat transfer, air leakage, light transference, and condensation resistance. If you're unsure whether a window is energy-efficient, look for an ENERGY STAR® label from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). If various products, including windows, meet energy-efficiency standards set by the federal government, the EPA issues this label to help consumers identify energy-efficient products.

No, it isn’t necessary to have energy-efficient windows. However, if you care about your energy bill and making your windows more energy efficient, fixing any heat, UV, or air transfer issues is an excellent way to lower your bills and keep your house cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
