"Pat did an awesome job on my wallpaper repair. We had a vanity removed and the wallpaper has roses and vines all over it. Pat was able to match the paper perfect you would never know that the repair was done. I would highly recommend him."

"We are very happy we hired Ed Staib Painting. This husband and wife team is great! They are professional painters. They are honest, trust worthy, and very respectful. They painted the entire interior of our house. They give attention to detail and take pride in their work. The price was reasonable. They were customer focused wanting to make sure we were happy as the paint job was progressing. They worked quietly and efficiently every day for 6 days. They finished the job one day ahead of schedule, and they were kind enough to accommodate an additional paint job that we requested unexpectedly. We would definitely hire them again. Thank you so much Ed & Amy!"

"Premier painting was absolutely fantastic, and I would highly recommend them. The team that came out was superb and their work was almost immaculate. I am a stickler for detail and walked the house every day looking at what was done, and with very few exceptions the crew was catching their few spots missed themselves before I could even say anything. The house looked like new when they were finished. I was selling the house, and it looked so good that my realtor asked for their contact info to give to future clients for paint jobs. The price for the job was reasonable, though not the very cheapest (not the highest either). I was more worried about the quality of the job and reliability of them showing up on team and getting it done on time, which premier did."

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

Yes, but professional services ensure secure installation, accurate leveling, and protection against wall damage, especially for heavy or valuable items.

Wallpaper lasts an average of around 15 years, but there is some variance. The type of wallpaper matters, as vinyl wallpaper tends to last the longest—sometimes 20 years or more—while a peel-and-stick wallpaper, which is the easiest to install for DIYers, will usually only last for around five years. Exposure to high humidity, smoke, and UV rays from sunlight can also limit the lifespan of your wallpaper, as can heavy traffic in the installation area.

Wallpaper in bathrooms can last anywhere from one to 10 years, depending on what type was used, how well it was installed, and the measures in place to reduce moisture and humidity levels. Opting for a more durable variety and taking all the necessary protective measures will get you closer to that longer lifespan.

Yes, many types of peel-and-stick wallpaper can be used in bathrooms, especially those made of vinyl or polyester. However, its success depends heavily on the level of moisture and ventilation. In bathrooms with good ventilation, such as those with fans, it can be a durable option. Peel-and-stick wallpaper may not adhere as well as traditional wallpaper in very humid conditions. For bathrooms that see a lot of moisture, like a kids' bathroom or a full bath with a steamy shower and poor ventilation, even high-quality peel-and-stick wallpaper is likely to peel over time.

Yes, you can put wallpaper in a bathroom, but whether it's a good idea depends on several factors. Because bathrooms are high-humidity areas, it's crucial to choose a water-resistant wallpaper, such as one made of vinyl. Proper wall preparation is also critical to ensure the paper adheres well, even after many steamy showers. The wallpaper's placement also affects its longevity; it will hold up better on an accent wall or away from direct water contact, rather than immediately next to a shower. A well-ventilated bathroom will yield the best results.
