"Diego was great. He followed up on my initial inquiry -- plus again when I lost his phone number. He scheduled an appointment right away, was prompt, professional, and even suggested a less-expensive repair option, which was appreciated by my 93-year-old dad. In 30 years of living in the area, I have only used 2 electricians -- one has retired, the other relocated. So, it's good to know I have a new, reliable and knowledgeable company for any future electrical needs. Kudos to Diego and Tru-Line Electric!"

"Had to schedule this appointment twice and wasn’t initially impressed with them but the electrician was very professional and efficient. Overall was very satisfied and would use them again. They installed two light fixtures, replaced an outlet and repaired two ceiling fans that weren’t properly grounded."

"Kevin was prompt and honest! He assured me that I didn't need to rewire my house or upgrade my panel as everything was in great condition. Instead, he did some other small electrical work I needed. I truly appreciate the honesty! I will trust him for all my future electrical work!"

Ev Charger Installer questions, answered by experts

Setting up utilities on a vacant property usually takes at least a few months, or between 6 weeks to 16 weeks. This process requires working with the local planning and zoning department, hiring a building contractor or engineer to design the utility layout, securing permits, laying the lines, and connecting the utilities.

Having a Level 2 charger can increase your home value, especially as electric vehicles become more popular. Homebuyers who have EVs or are interested in getting one will appreciate the convenience of a ready-to-use charging station. The added value can vary based on location and buyer preferences.

You can plug your electric car into a regular 120-volt household outlet only if you’re using a Level 1 charger. This method is slower and may take several days to fully charge your EV. For faster charging, you’ll need a Level 2 charger, which requires a 220- or 240-volt outlet.

Yes, you should get a quote or an estimate from an electrician. Most electricians offer free estimates or quotes. When getting quotes, do your research and verify each electrician’s license. Get quotes from three different electricians to compare. If the prices or items listed appear different on the quotes, ask the electrician to clarify. Learning as much as you can about the electrical work you want done will help you get the most accurate estimate.

Charging your EV every night isn’t always necessary. Most EVs have sufficient range to cover daily commutes without needing a nightly charge, particularly if you have a Level 2 charger. Charging once every few days or as needed can prolong the battery’s lifespan.
