"The technician was on time and provided an entire analysis of the home including the attic.  The technician performed a test to determine how much energy is being lost though out the home based on the tightness of the doors, windows, lights, fans, return vents, etc.
The technician later emailed me an estimate for fixing some of the items noted from the energy audit.  Overall, the energy audit was a good investment and revealed any concerns that I will need to fix.

nstalling ENERGY STAR qualified windows, doors, and skylights lowers energy bills and saves you money. With more efficient windows, you also use less energy, which reduces greenhouse gas emissions from power plants.
Put an end to cold drafts and overheated spaces. ENERGY STAR qualified windows and doors keep your home’s temperature consistently comfortable. Even your favorite chair right by the window can be cozy with ENERGY STAR!
Do some of your rooms feel like a sauna in the summer? A standard double-pane window allows approximately 75 percent of the sun’s heat into your home. 1 With ENERGY STAR qualified windows you can stay cool all summer long. Most ENERGY STAR qualified windows reduce the “heat gain” into your home more than typical windows do, without reducing the visible light. You get the light you need without the uncomfortable heat.

"They installed solar panels as per contract. They were on time and removed all material when done. I had roof damage from a storm and they repaired it at no extra cost. So far I am happy with this company and plan on using them again for house repair.

"The sale and design team were professional. I had several design questions that we were able to work thru during covid restrictions. More in person consultations and design review would be appreciated. After signing the contract, I also had to get my roof redone, causing a delay in the solar installation. 1 week after installation, our area was hit heavy rain. I never lost power and with the confidence of the installed solar and Power cell, I was able to concentrate on working from home with no problem"

Energy Efficiency Auditing questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on pipe length, accessibility, and whether additional services are required.

An average, 400-square-foot electric heated driveways consume approximately $3 per hour in terms of electricity. The price may slightly fluctuate depending on your local energy cost. A simple formula to calculate your heated driveway’s total wattage consumption is by multiplying the square footage by 50 watts and then dividing it by 1,000 to get the kilowatt number. Multiply that with your local energy cost per hour and there you have the hourly operating cost.

Yes, energy-efficient options such as LEDs and solar-powered lights are available. These alternatives consume less electricity, resulting in lower utility costs. They are also more environmentally friendly due to their reduced carbon footprint and longer lifespan.

It’s not recommended to turn off your breaker box in hopes of saving electricity. Breaker boxes were not designed to constantly be switched on and off. Therefore, turning off breakers unnecessarily can cause costly damage that outnumbers any energy savings. Only flip your breakers if absolutely necessary when troubleshooting an electrical issue.

Dryers are designed to use as little electricity as possible, but power is still required to run the motor that turns the drum and to heat an element that pumps hot air. Eco devices are available and may lead to cost savings in the long term, but you should run the figures before committing to an eco-friendly device as they are often much more expensive to purchase.
