"We needed a water heater replacement and Chris T., provided a detailed explanation of the new system, water heater manufacturer, installation process, and newly installed equipment. The level of detailed explanation on the invoice coupled with the home inspection paperwork is often not seen with home service companies. Will certainly hire again for plumbing services."

Providing drain unclogging / cleaning services for your sink drain, shower drain, tub drain, kitchen drain, laundry room drain, toilet, and any other drain / pipe system you have. We can provide pipe wall to wall cleaning incase you have build up in your pipes and getting constant clogging or slow draining. If you have an older home that has roots in your pipe and are not quite ready to replace pipes, we can cut out the roots from inside your pipes to return use of drains while you plan the replacement of pipe. Camera inspections are available for new home purchases inspections or if you are just trying to locate a breakage in your drain pipe system. Camera inspections are great before purchasing an older home as it will reveal any repairs done.

"Removed old nonworking water filter system from another company and nstalled a reverse osmosis water system. It works great and the installer was very prompt and professional. Work was neatly done and all questions answered. Very satisfied with the company, the system and their workers. The water tastes great."

"I hired Kinetico to install a full house reverse osmosis system. I bought a house in Lehigh Acres that a master plumber said "this is the worst smelling sulphur water I have seen in over ten years" about. After installation the rotten egg/sulphur smell has been completely removed. Everyone from the installer, to Rick the salesmen and Marcus the customer experience manager has been fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone needing help with their water quality."

"The plumber was here about 10 minutes before scheduled appointment.  He was excellent - went right to work and had the
dishwasher installed within an hour.  He also brought the old one to the curb for special garbage pick up the next day.  He was          professional in every way, and we would not hesitate to call Dan's Plumbing in the future.

Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

A water pressure booster doesn't require special maintenance. Like any house system, inspections should be a regular part of your annual schedule. Check for leaks, faulty valves, pressure loss, and mineral build-up. Pressure loss could be a result of mineral build-up, and you can descale the system with a vinegar and water solution.

In most cases, standard homeowners insurance policies do not cover damage from a sump pump failure or overflow. Coverage for water damage is often limited to sudden, unexpected events like a burst pipe that was not caused by negligence. To be covered for sump pump issues, you will likely need to purchase a specific rider, endorsement, or additional water backup insurance. If your insurer offers this type of coverage, they may require proof that your sump pump is regularly maintained.

A sump pump's lifespan is typically 7 to 10 years, though the general range can be anywhere from 5 to 15 years. The specific type of pump is a major factor: pedestal sump pumps last an average of 20 to 25 years, whereas submersible sump pumps last between 5 and 15 years. While pedestal pumps are less expensive to service, they are also louder and more prone to clogging.

Several other factors influence longevity, including the pump's quality, usage frequency, and maintenance schedule. A high-quality pump that is well-maintained in a dry climate may last for two decades, while a lower-quality, poorly maintained pump in an area with a high water table or frequent flooding may fail in six years or less.

Regular maintenance, including annual inspections and tuneups from a professional, can significantly extend the pump's life. It is time to consider a replacement if your sump pump runs constantly, cycles frequently, shows visible rust or corrosion, or trips a circuit breaker. As a preventative measure, many homeowners replace their pumps every eight years. It's also worth noting that a manufacturer's warranty can indicate expected lifespan, and some home insurance policies may not cover water damage from a pump that is past its recommended replacement date.

You shouldn’t shower while a sump pump isn’t working. Although household wastewater isn’t supposed to go into the sump pit, it’s best to wait to shower until your sump pump is running properly and able to move excess water out of the basement. If you need to shower when the sump pump isn’t working, aim for a short shower.

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to drain wastewater and solid waste into the municipal sewer system or a septic tank. For fixtures below this level, like those in a basement, gravity cannot move the waste upward. The ejector pump provides the force needed to pump the sewage up to the main line. Without one, wastewater from below-ground fixtures would back up, potentially causing a sewage overflow and flooding. If all of your plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity is sufficient and an ejector pump is not needed.
