"Asked Angi for a referral to a local company that cleans pool deck channel drains. Received an immediate reply from Rene Perez, Omega Drain Services and scheduled an appointment for the following day. Mr. Perez arrived exactly on time and began the process. He had latest video inspection and hydrojetting technology. The challenge was 60 feet of 20 year old drain clogged with roots, dirt and assorted debris. In one hour the drain was clean and flowing as if it was newly installed. Don't hesitate to contact Omega Drain.! 239-689-9534 for allyour drain cleaning needs."

"It went great! They responded to my email within 24 hours and scheduled an appointment within 3 business days on a day and time of my choosing. The Leak Specialist arrived promptly, was very pleasant and helpful. He quickly identified the problem and showed me photos of the damage. He described how the leak could be resolved, made recommendations for preventive measures. He had to go into the wall to identify the source of the leak and was very sensitive to potential damage, discussed options with me, etc. He also cleaned up the work area upon completion!
I would highly recommend this company to identify the source of water leaks! Very professional, very pleasant to deal with. I especially appreciated the brainstorming about remediation and options for making the necessary repairs.

"10 out of 10 Southern Oak is amazing you cannot find anybody better than this company. Working with Ricky was a pleasant experience, my well pump went out and he immediately came out to replace it. Not only did he replaced the pump, he also took the time to fix my pressure switch and made sure my irrigation system was working properly. He pointed out a few things that could be done to have the system perform at its best. The knowledge and attention to details Ricky has is top notch. I would highly recommend this company!!"

"Installers did an excellent job, although, due to a change order a part had to be ordered. The install is incomplete, at this time, but so far so good."

Sump Pump Installation questions, answered by experts

Some sump pumps are powered by water rather than electricity. Water-powered sump pumps generally use one gallon of city water to pump out two gallons of water from its basin. Therefore, if you're looking at a potential 10,000-gallon flood, your sump pump will need to use 5,000 gallons of city water to prevent it.

The difference between an ejector pump and a sump pump lies in their purpose and design—an ejector pump functions to remove liquid gray water and soft solid sewage waste from your home. If you have a laundry room or bathroom in your basement, an ejector pump for your sewage tank prevents sewage from backing up in your washing machine or bathroom’s drains.

A sump pump is designed to remove excess groundwater that may enter your home, either due to flooding or periods of heavy rain.

When a backflow valve fails, wastewater will flow back into your system, contaminating your drinking water. You’ll immediately notice backflow valve failure from a rotten smell and brown water coming from faucets. Get in contact with a septic pro or a plumber immediately if you suspect this has happened to you.

To maintain your sump pump, start by checking it every three to four months to ensure it’s in working order. Clear any debris from the pit because blockages can prevent the pump from operating efficiently. You should also test the pump by pouring a bucket of water into the pit. If it turns on automatically and drains the water, it’s functioning correctly. Inspect the discharge line for clogs, and ensure it directs water away from your home. Once a year, clean the pump itself, and consider having it professionally serviced for optimal performance.

The most common cause of a clogged sump pump is natural debris buildup. As water enters the sump pit, it can carry small pieces of debris that build up over time, or the debris can get caught in the filter. If you forget to cover the pit after cleaning the sump pump and pit, debris can also collect in the pit. Corrosion on the metal discharge pipe can also clog the pump. Additionally, if your pipes freeze, it can prevent water from draining properly and cause a clog.
