"The work is alright, but I don’t know about the quality product.Ever since we’ve had it, the water quality doesn’t seem right. The water stings our eyes, it smells, and laundry won’t lather up. It doesn’t seem to work like it supposed to. We have been using their services for 5-7 years. They installed the system initially. They have been really good about servicing our home, but I don’t know. The company is very responsive and does what we ask. They are a little expensive. My only complaint is that they do not notify you when it is time to do the annual checkup so it expires and then we have to pay extra. This has happened almost every year. This year, I asked them to notify us beforehand and they did this year."

"A good job done. However when leaving with the old water heater on the dolly, the drain was open and leaked rusty water on my front sidewalk which stained it."

"I called Capital Construction and Plumbing because I needed to have an old water softener removed from my house, (25 years of a worthless unit is long enough) I spoke with Jordan on the phone and he gave me a close idea of what I was looking at in terms of work and cost. He agreed to stop by and give me a free quote. It was very reasonable so I ask when he could do the job and he said later today! I could not ask for anything better. Later, Jordan and Ryan came back and went to work. They were very professional, knowledgeable, and fast worker. They did a great job removing the old unit, repairing my water main and even brought my water line up to current code by installing a pressure release valve on the new line. The work was beautiful, profession and quick. The price was great so what more could I ask for? I highly recommend Capital Construction and Plumbing without hesitation or reservation. I will be using them for all of my future plumbing needs."

"This job did not go as smoothly as I had hoped. When we got our estimate, we spoke about widening a walkway for improved wheelchair access. It was included in the estimate. When the workers arrived, they removed a 3 foot wide walkway and were preparing to put down the pavers. They readily began to widen the path when I mentioned it, but then they realized that sprinkler heads would have to moved. (This was discussed during the estimate.) This led to a delay. One sprinkler head was broken and completely buried, the other was broken below the surface. They were apparently broken by the skid steer that they used to remove the old concrete path. That same skid steer also took a chunk of concrete out of gutter. They also placed a dumpster in the street without putting any wood under the wheels. This created divots in the street which my HOA demanded be fixed. I called Advanced Pavers and Orion ultimately came back and fixed everything, but it took a lot of time because of broken appointments and created a lot of frustration. Overall, I am grading them as Fair because I'm not sure that the pavers that were undermined due to the broken sprinklers were adequately re-compacted after the sprinkler repair. The end result looks good right now, but time will tell. I really don't like paying for professional installation and being left with doubt about the end result."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can use hydrogen peroxide to unclog a drain. Instead of using a baking soda and vinegar solution, you can use baking soda with hydrogen peroxide. The process to unclog a drain is the same as with vinegar, but use 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide instead.

If you drop jewelry down your sink, it can cause a clog, especially if it accumulates other debris on its way down. However, that is the least of your worries if you drop your favorite jewelry down your drain. If your gold band goes tumbling down the sink drain, don’t panic—refrain from running more water down the sink, and follow the steps above.

Yes, continuing to flush a clogged toilet is not likely to break up the clog. Instead, it will continue to put pressure on the clog while filling the bowl with more water, which can potentially cause the toilet to overflow—leading to an even bigger mess. Rather than repeatedly flushing, use a toilet plunger or plumber’s snake to dislodge the clog.

DIY is not recommended due to safety risks and specialized equipment requirements. Hire professionals for effective clearing.

Your garbage disposal is not draining because it might have a clog due to food waste, a foreign object, grease, oil, fat, or it may have a broken motor. When water doesn't flush out of the disposal, that's a key sign that your disposal has a clog or needs repair.
