"This has been the best company to work with since I have lived in Florida. Tim called me to give me a quote and he was so informative that I hired the company to do my garage floor right on the spot. I explained that I was under a time restraint and he met the timeline that I required. The crew came to my house at the appointed time and worked very hard the whole time they were here., they were so professional and paid attention to detail. I could go on forever on how impressed I was with the whole team but I will just state it as simply as I can by saying that if I ever need to use this company again, I would not hesitate to do so. I am very happy with the completed job and would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to epoxy their garage floor. GREAT JOB!!!!"

"Excellent product, excellent service. Granite garage floors has a two day process. 1st day they grind your floor, seal all cracks and then apply epoxy that includes a vapor barrier. They then cover the floor completely with flake to the tune of 40 lbs. the next day they scrape off excess flake and then seal the floor with polyaspartic coating which protects against UV. The floor shines, is never slippery. Spills wipe right up never staining the floor. The price is very reasonable in fact doing this DIY after renting and buying all the equipment and supplies would cost as much or more. Highly recommended."

"The guys did a wonderful job in redoing the concrete connection between the garage and the driveway. They arrived on time and took great care not to create unnecessary dust or debris. They made sure we were happy with the result and gave us additional care and timing instructions to ensure it would cure properly. Thanks again for a terrific job!"

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can seal old or existing concrete, but proper preparation is crucial. The concrete surface must be clean, dry, and free of any incompatible old sealant. To check if an old sealer is present, drip a few drops of water onto the surface; if the water is absorbed in under five minutes, it's ready to be resealed. If you plan to use the same type of sealer that was previously applied, you may not need to remove the old layer. However, if you are using a different type of sealer, the old one must be completely removed. Before applying the new sealer, thoroughly clean the concrete and repair or fill any cracks to ensure a smooth, well-prepared surface.

You’ll usually need to prime a garage floor before painting—especially if the floor is unpainted. Garage floors are made from concrete, which is porous and produces dust. The dust can contaminate the paint and cause issues with adherence.

Primer creates a barrier and gives you a clean surface to work on. It also minimizes absorption to help give you an even, pro-looking paint job. Make sure you choose a primer that’s specifically designed to cover concrete flooring.

While there is a lot to like when it comes to epoxy flooring, there are some disadvantages for you to consider. For one, this flooring gets very slippery when wet, which means that it might not be the best option for homes with young children and older adults. Using an anti-slip coating can help.

Also, the installation period requires a long curing time of several days. Wet epoxy also releases strong smells during this curing period, which requires proper ventilation and safety gear.

Epoxy tends to be the most durable concrete finish, holding up on garage and shop floors for years. Epoxy seals the slab's surface, will run into any cracks and crevices, and can help to level the surface, so it tends to be a durable finish for most applications. The downside to epoxy is that it can be difficult to remove once applied.
