"I highly recommend Yaciel of Tri-County Repairs. He has done several jobs in my home and rental property, including installation of new sinks, new garbage disposal, repair of the a/c drain line, and replacing the a/c motor. He even went out of his way to find out that the motor for my a/c was under warranty and save me an $500 for the part alone. He has also funded several items for my clients like capping leaky refrigerator lines and troubleshooting appliances. What i live best about working with him is the level of professionalism. He s quick to answer the phone or text, he s realistic about timelines, and provides receipts for materials. He s also easy to work with and fair about pricing. Bilingual in English & Spanish too! I ve referred him to numerous clients because I know they are in good hands. This is rare to find in Miami!"

Customers say: True professional

"I highly recommend Bruz. His English isn’t the greatest but he is learning and taking English courses to improve. He speaks both English and Spanish. - He is a honest hard worker. - He works with you and WILL resolve your issue. - He is on time although he did get lost getting to our place which was no big deal. Keeps you posted on his arrival time. - His hours may not fit the standard hours but its worth working with his time. He also works after hours. Call him before you pay the extra emergency fee.1 - He knows his field and explains what the issues are. Our issue was both our upstair bathroom toilets were clogged and overfilling. In addition to the sewage started to come out through the tub drain. The water from the toilet was also leaking through our first floor ceiling. It was a mess. We found out both our toilet did not have the toilet wax o-ring because the leaks from the toilet was leaking through our first floor ceiling. He offered to place them literally at no cost. Then he snake drained under the toilet NOT through the toilet which scratches the toilets porcelin. He was professional, respectful of your property, and cleaned up after the work was done. He is willing to patch and paint if need. I can’t say how much I appreciate that he resolved our problem. Lastly, the price was amazingly reasonable for the amount of work he did. He is affordable and fair priced. Definitely will be a return customer for any plumbing problems. Thank you Bruz!"

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

To unclog the drain pipe, remove the machine's drain hose from the pipe or sink drain, being careful to contain any water in it. Next, use a plunger for sink drains or a plumbing snake for a wall drain. Test the repair by pouring a small amount of water into the pipe before trying it with a laundry load.

Yes—your local septic company can clean your septic leach lines with a sewer jetter, a device that pumps high-pressure water through the lines to blast out any clogs and scum buildup. Unless there’s a clog or blockage in the lines, however, you do not need to perform this maintenance regularly. Do not attempt to clean your own leach lines, as you could easily damage them, leading to very costly repairs.

You should hire a sewer service professional to unclog a main sewer line with tree roots. Tree roots can grow into the main sewer line, and this problem requires a specialized hydro jet, or rooter, that is powerful enough to clear the roots. The tree can also damage the main sewer line, and a professional will need to make repairs or replace the damaged sections. Sewer line replacement costs about $60 to $250 per linear foot.

Yes, sewage smells can originate from a floor drain. If the P-Trap in the floor drain dries out or if there's a clog or other issue in the plumbing system, sewer gasses can escape through the drain, causing nasty odors. Regularly pouring water into the drain helps maintain the water seal and prevent those smells, but if the smell persists, you should have a plumbing professional inspect the drain for potential problems.

The first rule of plumbing is nothing but water, toilet paper, number one, and number two go down the drain.

To prevent clogs, get yourself:

  • A compast pail where you can clean plates, drain grease, and toss scraps and paper towels.

  • Drain screens for the shower, tub, and bathroom sink to stop hair, jewelry, toys, etc. from going down the drain.

  • Trash cans for everything that shouldn’t go down the drain, like dental floss, hygiene products, and cat litter.

P.S.: If you do drop your priceless ring down the drain, take a deep breath, and then follow these steps to retrieve jewelry from your drain.
