"He works fast and is very thorough. Successfully completed several jobs. Appears knowledgeable about numerous plumbing issues. Pricing is very fair. The estimate breaks down all labor and parts with complete transparency. He gives a straightforward price with no hidden fees or surprises. We will definitely be using him again in the near future."

"Romain's Plumbing is the absolute best! We had a very bad leak in our 50 plus year old home that two other plumbers could not fix, pin point nor identify. He was able to troubleshoot and find exactly where the problem was, explain, figure out, fix and repair everything quickly and efficiently. He is honest, trustworthy, hard working, and most of all reliable and fair. This is the number one Plumber in South Florida!"

"The Plumber "Yaciel" was very professional and did an awesome job. He replaced the a/c water drain pipe on the exterior of my home. He had to remove the pavers covering the area and vacuum the water mixed with soil on the ground. He left the area inmaculate and cleaned after he was finished. I will definetely reach out to this company for any of my plumbing needs. I would highly recommend them to friends and family. It's hard to find good people to do good work nowadays. Keep up the good work "Tri-County Repairs"!!!"

Plumbing FAQs, answered by experts

The size of the pipe you use for your shower depends on the part of the shower you’re installing. Shower drainpipes have a 2-inch diameter, and the water supply lines (both hot and cold) have a ½-inch diameter. You may want to slightly increase the size of the vertical pipe if you have dual showerheads. Check the local building code prior to installation for guidance.

To install or move washer and dryer hookups, you will likely need a combination of professionals. A plumber can handle the water supply lines and drain pipes. If you have a gas dryer, a plumber certified for gas lines or an HVAC specialist will be needed to run the gas line. An electrician is required to install the correct electrical outlets. For simpler jobs, a local handyperson may suffice, while a contractor might be needed for tasks like drywall repair for the new vents.

Yes, hiring a drain cleaner is worth it, especially when compared to the cost of not being able to use a sink, shower, toilet, or bathtub and the potential damage that flooding can cause in your home. You might try a temporary drain cleaning liquid or snaking it yourself, but if the clog is out of reach or these methods do not work, then hiring a professional drain cleaner is the way to go.

Snakes can occasionally enter homes through shower drains, although it’s quite rare. This can happen when they follow sewer pipes or accidentally find their way into plumbing systems. To minimize the risk, consider installing drain covers or stoppers on your shower drains. Always keep drains closed when they’re not in use, especially in areas where snakes are known to be active.

Yes, you can water plants with water softened with potassium chloride. Potassium is a vital nutrient for plants, so using this type of water is harmless and can even be enriching. It is often a better option than water softened with sodium chloride, as too much sodium can build up in the soil and make it difficult for plants to absorb the water they need. If you notice that your plants are not tolerating the treated water, try letting it sit in a watering can for one to five days to allow the chlorine to diminish.
