"Luckily for Florida, 2025 was a quiet year from a hurricane perspective and we did not have to use the hurricane shutters through the season. Two weeks ago, when we were heading out of town for Thanksgiving holiday, noticed a misalignment in one of the shutters preventing it from on the rail. I contacted the vendor via email and got immediate response. Repair assessment was scheduled for December 3rd after our arrival. Joel Batista called on us yesterday and identified the problem right away. Joel was back this afternoon with Lewis and solved the problem in a very thorough manner. He was very patient in explaining to me what the issue was and how he fixed it. Very pleasant person to work with. First Alert is a great company for hurricane shutters and will highly recommend it anytime. Thank you very much, Joel & Lewis! Wonderful job done efficiently."

"There are not enough superlatives for the Got Windows? Need Blinds! team. They are just great and do a super job. The owner Rene' is awesome. This is the second time using them for plantation shutters, this time in our new home. Seven windows, glass slider and patio door were done, and we went with the 4.5 inch size. They also removed the old blinds. The installation went great and the installer was fast and efficient. Rene' stayed the whole time, assisting the installer where possible. I ve had plantation shutters installed in two (2) prior homes in VA so I already knew the look and style I wanted for the home I purchased in FL but did have questions regarding FL s climate/humidity and how that might impact the product composition. "Alan (owner) was very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough when assessing the work and providing us a cost estimate. The crew that arrived worked quickly and professionally. Even when they into a snag with the overhang roof on the back patio which was causing water to collect and the wood to rot, they were able to offer a solution. It did require additional work and cost, however reasonable, which we agreed to do. Juan, the lead worker, did an awesome job repairing it and redesigning the screen enclosure to drain and redirect rain water better. The replacement of the screen for the rest of the enclosure was also done very well. The three men crew worked diligently and left everything clean when they were done. I’m very happy with our new screen enclosure, the workmanship and their professionalism. I highly recommend South Florida Screen and their skillful crew. I will definitely use them again if needed."
