"Jeffry from A to Z insulation came over to my house to give me an estimate. He showed up on time, was very knowledgable about the home building process, went up in my attic, inspected what the builder installed and took pics and a video. He came back the following week and installed 15" blown in fiberglass in the garage and sun room that had no insulation in the attic. And added 3" to the 12" under AC that the builder had previously installed. Very professional, pleasant and cleaned up. Highly recommend A to Z to anyone needing new or additional insulation."

"Trying to bring down the temperature in my house and save money by installing a solar attic fan. Andrew came out and assessed my needs and had good recommendations for me and was knowledgeable about the products. He also came back after installation to make sure it was operating correctly. Before you get a new A/C it pays to up your insulation and install a fan."

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

Most professionals can install a window well in two to three days, depending on the size of the well and the window you want inside it. If you’re just replacing an existing window well, the work is much less intensive, and most experts can get the job done in just one day. Connecting the window well to a drainage system or installing a custom concrete window well will naturally take longer, but even the most complicated installations shouldn’t take more than three days.

Yes, you absolutely need a permit to add a window to your house. Your contractor can likely obtain this permit on your behalf. Ask about this when getting quotes from multiple window contractors.

The cost to install a bow window can range from $1,500 to $15,000, with a national average of $3,900. The total price includes materials, which can cost between $1,200 and over $14,000, and labor, which typically adds $300 to $1,900. Several factors influence the final cost, including the window's size and frame material. For example, vinyl frames are the most budget-friendly option, while wood frames are more expensive. Custom features or energy-efficient upgrades will also increase the price. For comparison, a bay window installation typically costs between $1,000 and $7,000.

Installing a window well costs anywhere from $500 to $1,500 or more. Adding an egress window and well runs about $3,900 on average. Adding a window well cover to the project can add $200 to $700. A well cover helps protect your egress windows from weather damage and keeps them clear of dirt, debris, and wildlife.

Because egress windows are meant for emergency exiting and entering, they need to be an accessible size. The smallest an egress window is allowed to be is 15 inches in width and height, with an opening of around 4 square feet.
