Small jobs welcome

"Ground Up Leveling was recommended to me by a friend for a new gutter install on a house I recently purchased. The owner, Marcus, and his crew were easy to work with, timely, and affordable compared to some of the other quotes I received. I would highly recommend their service to anyone in need of gutters or gutter replacement."

"Semir is the best and we have added him and his company to our list of preferred contractors. PropertyTech did the remodel on our house to prepare it for sale . The house sold in one day and they honored our request to pay our balance due at the closing! We have also recommended them to our Realtor. Love this company!"

"Damn they are good! I saw a small crack in my wall and called these guys out. james did a very thorough and professional job of evaluating the level of the floors in the house to see if there was any sagging(cool tools for sure). He then crawled under the house and evaluated it--extensive explanation, pictures, and plan. James made sure I understood the plan, the timeline, and the finances. I signed up and soon there was a crew--Jeff, Kyle, Andrew and William did the encapsulation for moisture mitigation and once again were very professional and thorough, making sure I understood what was happening when. Really great experience working with these guys. They are certainly my go-to folks for any work that I need that they do. Once again, Angi comes through with the best guys for the job."

"Our project included PolyLevel injections to the corner of our concrete block foundation as well as PolyLevel concrete leveling of our driveway and sidewalks. Trevor Bulza, Design Specialist was super knowledgeable, friendly and made sure to educate as well as counsel us on the most appropriate and effective solutions for our situation. The poly crew, consisting of Chad Burns, Thomas Dahl and Chris Sanders, were on-time, courteous and gave us multiple progress reports along the way. An exceptional job performed by a very professional team!"

Robert was easy to work with and always accessible, which made our project a little less stressful. Overall, we had a great experience and still love our house like the day we moved in!"

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

It restores concrete, prevents replacement cost disruptions, reduces trip hazards, and provides stability at a lower cost.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.

Yes, you can mudjack cracked concrete, but the cracks will need to be repaired once the concrete has been leveled. If the concrete is severely cracked in multiple places, replacement may be a better option, but for less severe cracking, mudjacking is a good solution as long as cracks are correctly caulked and sealed.

Generally speaking, push piers—or steel piers—are the best option for underpinning, as they reach down to solid bedrock to find support for your foundation rather than relying on soil, which could be subject to the same issues as the soil directly below your foundation. However, the best underpinning method for your home depends on your location, how far down the bedrock is, and the type of soil in your area. Helical piers are usually the best option for sandy soil or in areas where the bedrock is too deep to use steel piers.

Most states and municipalities don’t require concrete mudjacking companies to carry a specific license, but they usually need to have a general contractor’s license, and they should be fully insured. The only exception is if the mudjacking company provides foundation repairs as well, or if it offers mudjacking for home foundations. In that case, they will typically need a foundation repair contractor’s license. You can check state requirements and then use Angi’s license lookup tool to confirm that a company is properly licensed to provide mudjacking services in your area.
