"Brian and his crew did an outstanding job on leveling my patio and repairing a bit of a washout on the other side of my fence. Going down towards the river would recommend them to anyone that needs any kind of concrete work to be done. My neighbor and I are both very satisfied with the service that they provided us Sam guinta Estero fl feb 27 2024"

"Absolutely excellent-from initial phone enquiry to finished work maybe 10 days. Felipe, Bernard, Janus were very professional, skilled, efficient. A pleasure to work with. They arrived on time, sistered floor joists that had water damage, placed plates and jacks along the line of joists and leveled the wood floors of our 60 year old house. They were finished by 1PM. And a job well done. Itâ s wonderful to have flat floors again and not worrying about the foundation. - the Jolly's"

"What a easy way to get your home remodeling projects done. Bronson walked us through the entire process and timeline. It was such a great experience from start to finish. I never felt like other parts of my house were a complete mess with construction. The budget we agreed on was met. Bronson is extremely friendly and communicates great until the project is finished. Thank you again!!"

"Robert Lord's passion for building custom homes shows through in all the homes he builds. Robert uses the best materials and goes the extra mile with detail at a lower price per square foot, creating greater value. Robert was easy to work with and always accessible, which made our project a little less stressful. Overall, we had a great experience and still love our house like the day we moved in!"

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"I had a badly cracked and uneven driveway and a sidewalk that had fallen out of level and was allowing water to drain under the house. Got a bid from Sturdy Soil after a 15 minute inspection. I had another company come out to offer a bid. The other company was a national company with company car all covered with stickers while Sturdy Soil was local. The national company with a salesman who hung around for a couple hours finding a bunch of things that needed done and cost a ridiculous amount. Sturdy Soil doesnt have corporate offices, corporate salesman and got on the job within a couple days and finished quickly. I was amazed by the difference and saved thousands of dollars. Nice , local people and honest price. Thank you guys! Best Father -Son team in Englewood."

"The experience overall was very satisfying and I am very pleased with my new kitchen. I'd encourage anyone to invite Kathy Schmick (designer) out for a consult as she is personable and easy to work with and has many years of experience. Kathy always put me at ease with her knowledge and experience. Oleg and his remodeling team work quickly, I was impressed at how they completed my project so quickly. During the remodel, there was never blocks of days that nothing was being done at my house. These guys worked long hours and moved things along at a fast pace!"

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

A good slump height really depends on the project, but there is a use for nearly all slump levels. For example, low slumps are best in projects that require structure, such as curbs and roads. High slumps often require additional reinforcement, but they flow more freely into hard-to-reach spaces.

Generally speaking, push piers—or steel piers—are the best option for underpinning, as they reach down to solid bedrock to find support for your foundation rather than relying on soil, which could be subject to the same issues as the soil directly below your foundation. However, the best underpinning method for your home depends on your location, how far down the bedrock is, and the type of soil in your area. Helical piers are usually the best option for sandy soil or in areas where the bedrock is too deep to use steel piers.

Mudjacking is your best bet for leveling concrete on a tighter budget. It’s less expensive than foam or grout mixture. For smaller, surface-level issues, you could also use a self-leveling compound, which creates an even surface over existing concrete—it’s a budget-friendly option suitable for DIY enthusiasts.

A sinking foundation can be lifted, most often by installing piers to re-level and support the weight of the house. Depending on the cause and extent of the sinking, other methods to lift a foundation include underpinning and mudjacking. Consult a foundation repair pro to determine the best way to lift your sinking foundation.

Trenching and boring are two distinct methods for installing underground utilities. Trenching involves digging a channel using equipment like an excavator, trencher, backhoe, or shovel. While it is a simpler process, it causes significant disruption to the surface, landscaping, and surrounding ecosystems.

Boring, also known as directional boring, is a less invasive alternative that uses a drill to create a tunnel for utility lines without disturbing the surface. This method is more precise and is ideal for installations that need to go underneath buildings, roads, or bodies of water. Although boring is less disruptive, it is generally more expensive than trenching.
