"Carlos and his team did a fantastic job trimming many trees on our property. They were on time, communicated clearly through every step of the process, worked efficiently, and cleaned up everything - all for a very fair price. I am happy to have made the good choice to hire them, and will hire them again in the future when needed."

"I had a great experience with Bryan. He was professional, on time, and explained everything clearly. My sliding door was not working properly, and now it feels like brand new. He cleaned the track, replaced the rollers, and made sure everything was running smoothly before leaving. You can tell he really cares about doing a quality job. I definitely recommend his services to anyone needing sliding door repair. I’ll be calling him again if I need anything in the future."

"I had a swimming pool installed and my property was a disaster after it was completed. I contacted Outdoor Brother to get an estimate to: -re-grade the land -re-sod everywhere -re-install sprinklers -add curbing and landscape with palm trees and plants around my pool -Add underground drainage(like a French drain) to get any standing water away from my house and pool. -Fix an aluminum fence that got damaged, when a tree was being removed and fell on it, -converted a white PVC double gate into a single gate. Jacob gave me a reasonable priced estimate to do all of the above work. Jacob and Jeremy(brother) and the entire team did an amazing job with everything. His team was friendly and extremely hard working and made sure everything was perfect. I would not hesitate to hire them again for anything needed outdoors."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Lead toxicity comes from inhaling lead or consuming it. Before the 1980s, when the government banned lead from consumer use, it could be found in paint, plumbing, pipes, ceramics, and even gasoline. Lead paint is toxic for the same reason lead itself is toxic, which is why lead poisoning from paint presents the same as lead poisoning from water or food sources, with a slight increase in respiratory symptoms vs. digestive symptoms. Lead paint is most dangerous when it’s old and peeling, cracking, or otherwise disturbed. This increases the concentration in the air and, therefore, in breathable air.

No, you can’t place hazardous waste in a dumpster unless you specifically ordered a dumpster for hazardous waste removal. If the dumpster company finds hazardous waste that it didn’t approve for dumping, the company will return the waste to you, and you’ll likely face a fine for illegal dumping.

The best way to remove lead paint is by wet hand sanding and removing all dust and residue with a HEPA vacuum. Professionals may also strip and scrape lead-based paint with a paint scraper. In some cases, you may choose to have a pro encapsulate or enclose your lead-based paint surface by covering it with a sealant or a new material. You may also choose to replace the material altogether.

Lead exposure poses significant health risks, including neurological, developmental, and behavioral disorders, especially critical in young children and fetuses.

When a surface that contains lead dust is disturbed, the dust can float about in the air for roughly an hour before settling again. Since you cannot see the dust, it is important always to wear protective gear when working with any materials that may contain lead paint and to keep children, pets, and others away from the area for as long as possible
