"This is one of the most professional companies I've ever dealt with. We had commercial concrete installed on part of the driveway at our house to replace the original cookie-thin garbage that has totally crumbled like...well, a cookie. The owner, Terry, was very up-front with pricing and recommendations, was always available when I had a question, the work was done quickly and precisely, and the next day he showed me potential trouble spots surrounding the new slab and what to do about it. Clearly customer satisfaction and qualty are their top priorities. Mission accomplished! Thanks, Terry! I'd give you 6 stars if I could!"

"Paver Depot did the paver installation for our lanai extension project. Steve and his crew were amazing. Start to finish. The job was completed without a hitch. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. They kept the area very clean, and when done the only traces they had been here was the beautiful new paver floor for our new lanai."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Several materials are suitable for steep driveways. Gravel and crushed stone are affordable options that provide good traction. Permeable pavers—such as plastic, rubber, or concrete—filled with gravel or crushed stones are also excellent, as they allow water to drain without causing erosion and perform well in ice and snow. Another option is resin, which can be coated with an anti-slip finish and helps prevent puddles. For added stability, you can install a retaining wall to prevent pavers and gravel from shifting over time.

While the specific timeline for building a driveway can vary based on driveway length and local weather conditions, the average concrete driveway can require several days to lay down all of the different parts of the driveway. The curing process may require you to avoid using your driveway for a week following construction. Heavier vehicles should be kept off of a new concrete driveway for several weeks. Building a gravel driveway may take just one to two days in total.

An ideal driveway gradient is between 2% and 5%. Anything lower than 1% or higher than 15% can cause problems for your car or property. A driveway with less than a 1% slope increases your likelihood of flooding and water damage, while a driveway with a 15% grade or higher can be too steep for safe traveling.

Yes, recycled asphalt driveway costs can be substantially lower than new asphalt. With new asphalt costing between $90 and $190 per ton, this option can cost as much as 10 times more than laying down asphalt millings.

You should contact your driveway installer before winterizing a newly installed driveway. Winterizing it before the asphalt or concrete has fully cured can damage the driveway. But in many cases, you don't need to winterize a newly installed driveway anyway since it's likely freshly sealed and won't have much damage yet.
