"I hired Certified Restoration initially to repair a small area of my laminate flooring that was damaged by water spilling from my air conditioner unit. It was very minimal damage and I probably could have dried and repaired the area myself. I can't place all of the blame for my dissatisfaction on Certified Restoration because I committed 2 big mistakes: I didn't insist on a written estimate BEFORE work was initiated and I let Certified Restoration convince me that I needed to file an insurance claim. I regret dearly both these mistakes dearly because the cost of repairs was much more than I expected for minimal damages (Certified Restoration also had to negotiate costs with my insurance company). I feel that an avoidable home insurance claim was filed which may eventually lead to high insurance premiums. Although the quality of work was fine, the pricing, fact that I was NOT given a written estimate before work was initiated and convinced that I should file an insurance claim for minimal damages makes me feel that I could have gotten a better value for money with another company."
