"We have lived in our (1990â s) house for 3+ years and have had a problem with small insects in the kitchen. In that time, $$$ was spent on tons of bug spray, plug in traps with sticky pads and fancy LEDâ s -nothing worked. Frustrated and tired of worthless home remedies, I called the Pros at Home Seal to do what they do best. Should have called them 3 years ago. In a few hours our problem was solved/Sealed! Shawn and his staff are very professional and knowledgeable. I received texts with photos explaining exactly what needed to be done and was updated in real time as the job was being completed. The whole experience was pleasant and best of all - No More Bugs!! GREAT JOB!! Thank you Home Seal!"

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

For pest control in Orange Park, keep a moisture meter for detecting damp spots, a caulk gun with weatherproof sealant for sealing entry points, and a bright flashlight for attic or crawl space inspections. Stock diatomaceous earth, boric acid, sticky traps, and fire ant bait—especially for local pests like palmetto bugs and fire ants. Protective gloves, N95 masks, and hurricane-resistant storage bins are also essential in Florida’s climate.

Helpful?

In Orange Park, integrated pest management is on trend, with homeowners using native plants and rain gardens to reduce mosquito breeding. Smart home technology like Wi-Fi-enabled termite monitors and automated mosquito misters are gaining traction. Eco-friendly pest control treatments, hurricane-resistant barriers, and screened-in lanais are popular, as are pest-proof compost bins designed for Florida’s subtropical environment.

Helpful?

Yes, combining pest control with upgrades like gutter installation, crawl space waterproofing, or attic insulation is smart in Orange Park. Addressing moisture, entry points, and pest issues together can prevent recurring infestations. Coordinating pest control with landscaping, tree trimming, or HVAC sealing also helps keep palmetto bugs, termites, and mosquitoes at bay, maximizing your investment and reducing future maintenance needs.

Helpful?

In Orange Park, overwatering lawns, skipping gutter cleaning after storms, and letting mulch pile against the foundation can attract termites and ants. Storing firewood too close to the house or leaving pet food outdoors invites rodents and palmetto bugs. Neglecting to repair leaky outdoor faucets or ignoring humidity indoors can quickly undermine pest control efforts, especially during Florida’s rainy season.

Helpful?

In Orange Park, hidden costs often arise from discovering termite or rodent damage behind walls, which may require wood or insulation repairs. Moisture issues can lead to the need for crawl space encapsulation or sump pumps. Recurring fire ant or mosquito treatments are common due to the humid climate. If your property has a well or septic system, additional testing may be necessary after pest control treatments.
