"Justin was beyond helpful when it came to my newly installed ac not working and being completely lied to by a previous company. He got everything resolved in a very quick time frame. He was super helpful and sweet. I'll use him for all my ac needs, and will definitely recommend him to everyone that I can."

"Chris arrived promptly. He and his assistant wore foot covers, spread coverings now the floor around the vent areas and did a very professional job. We are more than pleased with his work and will have this cleaning done more often. Especially important to have this kind of job done now."

"Brian was professional, prepared, and thorough. He took his time to figure out the mistake made previously in programming the thermostat incorrectly. That thorough investigation and the correction alone made saved hundreds of dollars in electricity usage. He cleaned up, tightened, replaced, and repaired whatever was done poorly by another technician. And all this was done with a smile, good humor, and a reasonable price! He gets an A++!"

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

To keep your air conditioner in good working condition, you should have it serviced by a professional at least once per year, ideally in the spring before the cooling season begins. If your AC unit is 10 years or older, consider servicing it twice a year (once in the spring and once in the fall) to catch potential problems early and help it reach its full lifespan. During a service visit, a technician will inspect, clean, and replace parts as needed. Regular maintenance helps avoid costly repairs. As a DIY task, you can also clean the evaporator coils annually.

As mentioned above, not all HVAC Schrader valves are necessarily the same. While the valve core and pin or spring size on Schrader valves used for HVAC are generally similar, the valves are not all universal and interchangeable. The size of Schrader valves varies depending on whether it's used in an air conditioner, bicycle tire, or motor vehicle tire.

High humidity, bad insulation, warmth from sunlight, and poor circulation are all reasons your home’s hotter inside than out. While this is what you want in the colder months, summer can become unbearable if this is a constant. Try to find the cause, but you need to remember that issues like this require a permanent fix (unless you want to bear down during the summer months).

You should get anywhere from three to five quotes for HVAC replacement to get an idea of the average cost of a new unit. Although this quote-collecting process can be time consuming, it allows you to compare what work is required, what type of unit you should install, and how much you should expect to pay for the service.

Yes, you can put an AC unit on the roof of your home or commercial building. For proper installation, you’ll need to ensure the roof surface is flat, it’s accessible for maintenance and cleaning, and an AC installation pro agreed that your home is a candidate for package units. Don’t forget to consider the climate in your area, as homes that experience frequent tropical storms or hurricanes may not benefit from this type of system.
