"Ron called me within 30 minutes of my request for carpet repair on Home Advisor. He told me he could be here the next morning (Wednesday), but I was unavailable so we made it for Friday, 2 days later. He was prompt in arriving. I had 3 rooms that needed carpet repair from cats scratching at it. The repair was completed in about 1 hour. You cant tell anything was done to the carpet, but the customer service and friendliness go beyond what I expected. I will not hesitate to call them in the future if I need other carpet work. 5 STARS - Well deserved!!!"

"I am a real estate broker and the condo I had listed had the carpet buckling in the guest bedroom. I recommended Certifed Flooring Services to the condo owner and he hired them to stretch the carpet. Don did a good job stretching the carpet. I recommend using him for stretching your carpet."

Carpet Stretching questions, answered by experts

The answer depends on the size of the problem. If the carpet damage is small, then you or a pro can fix it with a carpet patch. This commonly includes things like burn marks from fireplaces or small holes from furniture snagging on it.

Other times, replacing the carpet rather than repairing it is best. For example, if you have large, worn sections, water damage, or can’t get rid of a strong odor, it may be time for a replacement. Carpet removal costs average $180 plus the cost of new carpet installation.

An Oriental rug should last between 50 and 100 years, on average, but yours could last much longer than a century if you care for it properly. There are many factors that affect the lifespan of an Oriental rug, though. Increased foot traffic, exposure to moisture, exposure to UV light and sunlight, and aggressive cleaning can all limit how long your rug will last.

Vomit contains organic fluids along with whatever else comes out with it. When left without cleaning, vomit, and its odor can reach deep into carpet fibers and become very difficult to remove without a deep cleaning. In some cases, the combination can cause permanent carpet staining.

Yes, you can revive carpet that’s flattened using household items like an ice cube and stiff brush, a damp cloth and an iron, baking soda and vinegar, and shaving cream. If you want to go all-out, visit a local home improvement store and buy a carpet rake, too. Depending on the state of your carpet, you may need to use more than one of these methods to see results. Keep in mind that you might need to repeat a reviving method more than once.

Standard padding works like a sponge. It absorbs liquid, soaking up every drop of moisture that hits it. Moisture barrier padding does the opposite because it has a waterproof coating made of plastic film, rubber, or treated foam. It doesn’t absorb spills and keeps them on the surface instead, so you can clean them up before they damage your subfloor.
